Or at least just fix it. if you're interested in selling, i'm sure you'll get good cash on ebay. Whitey 06-07-2002, 06:36 PM Originally posted by tam Your camera has 3 dead pixels. What do you think it is worth -old olympus dl-340? tam 06-08-2002, 05:19 AM :topic: do you still have warantee? A dead pixel is caused by a 'broken' CCD chip. If you have the 3 pixels i marked below in every picture, you know they're dead. Because its jpg compression, it also affects the pixels around it. If you have a warantee you can have them repair it. In case the camera is out of stock and out of production, they might just give you a new olympus model because it may be cheaper for them than to have someone repair your old one. It's worth a shot. Whitey 06-08-2002, 01:18 PM Thanks tam, Actually, I never noticed those spots. The coin pics didn't come out that great, as I mentioned. I've taken tons of pics with this camera and most of them seem to turn out very good. I'll keep an eye on that, which you pointed out. We got this camera when they first entered the market --3-4 years back. It has done well for what we paid. No doubt, the cameras available now are much better. Again thanks :topic: IFF 06-08-2002, 02:09 PM the oldest coins in my house are the old irish punt coins |
