Last weekend I was in San Diego for Nicole's wedding. It was a great weekend. I'd say it was one of the best weekend's I've had in a while, but life has been really good lately, so that may be overstating it.

I took Friday off of work so we could go down to SD early. Avi and Char picked me up 15 after 9 and we were on our way. We made a stop on the way to take a tour of a screen printing business that Char's cousin runs. It was pretty awesome seeing his setup and learning some about the industry. We had a quick bite to eat at a mexican restaurant along with some margaritas and then continued on to SD. We checked into the hotel, relaxed some, and then sat pool side while drinking away any worries or doubts we had. Thats what I was doing at least, I am not sure about Avi and Char. 4 Gin and Tonics later, we were all ready for naps I think. Around 6 we took a nap, thinking for an hour, but ended up waking up just a bit before 9.

Friday night was mostly a bust. We were hung over. We were tired. We were hungry. And all our friends were either not in town yet or at the rehersal dinner for the wedding. After driving around downtown a bit we went back to Mission Valley and got some dinner. We ended the night with a trip to the food for less to buy juices, booze, and a container for booze. We made some 'punch' drank the night away while watching TV.

We woke up at like 11 on Saturday and Avi and I went to making our wonderful beverage. We mixed Strawberry Kerns, Peach kerns, Cranberry Juice, and Vodak with some spurts of lime. I cut myself, I still have a gash on my thumb. The drinks were good. Then we mixed some vodka with Gatorade and walked to Denny's. It was hot. blazing hot. By the time we got to Denny's I was done. So was the booze/gatorade combo. We had a wonderful meal and then char picked us up and took us to Macy's. I got some dress socks and a new dress shirt.

Char dropped us off at the hotel, went to get her nails done and then Avi and I got to the task at hand, drinking. We drank our punch concoction and I tried to iron my new shirt, but I was really bad at it. We left for the wedding a bit late but got there right on time. When we got there, I leaned in to Avi and said "the woman next to me reeks of booze." He asked me if it wasn't me, I checked my breath and sure enough, it was me.

The wedding was beautiful. It was ona terrace that overlooked the marina and it was near sunset. They had a string and flute playing all the music, it was really great. The reception was at the Mariott Marina in one of the rooms, it was a lot of fun, may I say the most fun I've had at a wedding? This is one of the first weddings where I've not been super close to the bride or groom or involved in the wedding, so I had no worries. I could just drink, hang out, and have fun. It was funny, Nicole, Mark and Tiffany had been talking for a while about introducing me to their friend Megan, but it hadn't happened yet. I saw a group of girls and went to talk to one, and it just so happened to be Megan. We talked, danced and hung out most of the night, we had a really good time. She was exhausted and left, but gave me her number before going. The rest of us got some late night Denny's and then went and passed out.

Sunday we woke up late, cleaned up, and drove home. I had 30 minutes to relax and then went to pick up Melody for the Hollywood Bowl. We went to Avidans to eat and preparty. We saw Thievery Corporation and The Flaming Lips. Both were SO amazing. We drank a ton of beer that we brought and had an awesome time. We went back to Avidan's, sobered up, smoked some and then I took Melody home and went home and passed out.

Monday night I went with Avi and Avidan to the House of Blues and saw XClan and Jurassic 5. It was a great show. A ton of energy. I ran into an old friend from high school, Juna, at the show. That was random. It was a great show, but just another thing to do, and I've been so tired...

The rest of this week has been packing and getting ready for my move. Its been tough. Very tiring. I can't wait to just slow down and hang out, not like go at a million miles a minute.
