"Martian Magic" (that's science to all you folks out of the dark ages) gives numerous species the ability to shapeshift. Though the Reptialians you speak of are primarily Earth based and live in India and are known as the Naga. They are actually the evolutionary descendants of the Troodon.

Don't know about reptilians but Bush is probably an amphibian (not as advanced as a reptilian)
