What a weekend. It was packed. The most packed perhaps out of any weekend I've had. It was a ton of fun, some drama, lots of driving, lots of money spent, but amazing times I am not soon to forget.
Friday Night was "Dinner by Avidan, Evite by Manu" the second in what will hopefully continue as the "IT Boys cook dinner, CIM kids go and eat." Well, it was kind of a bust, but a great time. Basically 3/4 of the people flaked at the last minute. So, it was the IT boys, Mariana, and Kim dang.
Avidan seriously made a feast, it was amazing. Middle Eastern food. Hummus, Bobaganosh (sp?), falafel, kebobs, Moraccan cigars, it was amazingly good stuff. We had fun, drank to excess and then sobered up with food in our bellies while smoking some hookah. I retreated home, too late, I got to bed around 4, and had to be up at 8 for Tasha's graduation.
I went to Pepperdine for Tasha's graduations ceremony. It was at 10:30AM and already blazing hot. The ceremony was hot but I am glad I went. I am so incredibly proud of that girl.
I spent the rest of saturday running errands and preparing for the party. I went to my folks house, got chairs, a table, some tubs, and a cooler and then went back to the Westside to tidy up my place. Corey came over, helped me go shopping and then we began the process of making jungle juice. I think I've nearly perfected the mixture.
1 bottle of vanilla vodka
1 bottle of citrus vodak
1 bottle of regular vodka
1 bottle of coconut rum
3 bottles of hawiian punch
3 cans of 7up
4 cans of tropical mixed fruit
2 cans of pineapple
4 fresh squeezed lime
add roses sweet lime juice to taste
It was WONDERFULLY potent and wonderfully tasty.
I wish I could recount for you in detail the party, it was great. Definately one of the best I've thrown and the most fun I've had at a party since New Years two years ago probably (another jungle juice party might I add).
The highlights are drunk jenga, smoking hookah, lots of booze, random chicks, and then when everyone passed out drunk Jenga at 4 am until7 Am at which time we decided to go get breakfast and then got a speed ticket (Avidan did) on the way back. The theme of "Youth and Irresponsibility" definatly was adhered to.
Did I mention that John got violently ill in my closet? The story is so funny I will forgive him,but man, at the time I was sketching. We were looking for him, I found him in the closet. The lights were off so I didn't know what was up. I ask "John you cool?" His answer. "No man, I am not ****ing cool." I turn on the lights and see him covered in his own vomit. Good times. We got him taken care of. In the middle of it I found myself on the roof to just chill out. I sat up there for 20-30 minutes I think. The last time I was on the roof while in party mode I think was 4AM on my birthday party day. It was interesting, made me think about a lot of stuff.
The usual suspects were all there, along with some others.

I ended up going to bed at 10AM after cleaning some and I woke up at 11 to watch the world cup game. I was going to skip out on lunch with my sisters, but then madhu said Anshul would be sad. I told her I'd see her in an hour, drove to ventura, did lunch, went swimming, drove back to LA for an hour nap before pearl jam.
I went and saw pearl jam sunday night. It was a little disapointing, I'd say that it didn't wow me or blow me away. It could have been the tiredness, but it wasn't really much more than listening to their CD with it turned way up. Eddie Vedder is awesome, the music was great, but just too generic, CD like.
I crashed hard when I got home, and woke up and went to the office...
Oh, and anshul started calling himself Frankenstein at my prompting, his teacher asked him why he called himself that and he told her I told him too and then laughed uncontrollably. What an adorable kid.
