Europe is deluged with pirate CD/DVDs produced in countries where orange revolution took place.
Copyright experts in Europe and America denote that in recent years approximately 85 percent of counterfeit musical and movie CD/DVD production began to arrive from Eastern Europe, being produced in the countries where orange revolution events took place – Ukraine and Georgia. Experts underline that the capacities of Ukrainian and Georgian pirates have increased greatly over the last couple of years which is a period of time that has passed since revolutionary events in these states. European experts suggest that movie pirates were able to gain access to vast burning and printing material resources delivered from the US to these states before revolutionary events. After that the publishing and burning facilities were left aside and pirates were able to lay hold on it to start producing high-quality counterfeit CDs and DVDs to be distributed in Europe and the US.
Today Ukrainian and Georgian video pirates are able to use vast stockpiles of blank CDs and DVDs brought from the US to produce hundreds of millions of cheap counterfeit CDs and DVDs and earn billions of dollars which make European and American video production companies sustain grandiose losses.
