View Full Version : Lewis the cat, destroyer of Avon ladies, has been spared!!!
Betty 06-20-2006, 05:53 PM BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut (AP) -- A Connecticut judge on Tuesday spared the life of alleged serial-scratcher Lewis the cat, whom even Prozac could not tame, but ordered that the felonious feline remain inside his owner's home at all times.
"There are no exceptions. None," said Judge Patrick Carroll, who also granted accelerated rehabilitation to Lewis' owner, Ruth Cisero of Fairfield, Connecticut.
That means her record will be expunged if she successfully completes two years of probation.
Now that's what I'm talking about. DOWN WITH THE AVON LADY! UP KITTY!

Mystlet 06-20-2006, 05:59 PM The cat should have been kept inside to begin with. The owner should be charged with allowing an animal to attack people over & over again.
Stupid freakin' people! :nonono:

^^Why did that make me laugh so much
Bear Stories 06-21-2006, 05:17 AM Dude! It's a cat! It's a small furry creature; you can take a cat and stuff 'em in a pillowcase. You can put a cat in a dryer! (sorry Em, but, really, you can. They're small and we have the opposable thumbs.) What the hell?!
This is hilarious. I'm so glad that my tax dollars are at work, making the world safe from the terrible kitty.
edit to add: does this mean that I can get my cat to stop sleeping on my pillow?
GROFF200 06-21-2006, 09:23 AM I had a cat when I was younger...she had grown up wild and I took her in. She killed a Great Dane that came into the yard by shredding his throat with her hind claws.
Apparently, if you can put a cat in the dryer or a pillowcase, it's just too timid to stop you. Nature gave it the tools to make you pay though.
86Dude 06-21-2006, 11:40 AM A great dane? Come on, you made that up right? I have had plenty of cats and I don't think that is possible.

Yep. Our three cats are indoor-only so they don't get into fights with other animals, don't get hit by cars, don't piss and shit in other people's gardens, don't kill birds and chipmunks and whatnot needlessly and don't get into trouble with other people's children and the like.
It's just common sense and courtesy.
Stupid freakin' people! :nonono:
:nice:
Enigma 06-21-2006, 12:22 PM Cats scratch. it's in their nature.
Seems to me the neighbours are making too much fuss - live and let live!
They should be confined to barracks for interfering with the cat's right to roam where it will.

I wish I were making it up...I loved that dog. He belonged to my next door neighbor, and I had to be the one to break the news to him and help him bury the dog.
I've never seen any comparable behaviour from a cat that grew up around people. But, apparently if you take in a cat that grew up feral, they're more than willing to display the true abilities nature gave them.
Danza 06-21-2006, 06:23 PM Im really glad were trying kittys. Whats next an ant who cause discomfort to a human?
Mystlet 06-21-2006, 08:30 PM Cat scratches can lead to awful infections. My brother ending up hospitalized from a cat once. He spent two days on an antibiotic IV drip to save his hand.
If it was a person biting & scratching, would everyone think it was okay?

A very large housecat will weigh somewhere around 15 lbs, and that's a big ass ****ing housecat.
A very small adult human can weigh about 90 lbs or so, and that's a shrimpy ass human.
With the exception of Great Dane slaughtering feral freaks, a human would totally own a cat.
Mystlet 06-21-2006, 08:45 PM He was simply untangling his cat from one of those plastic ring-popcan holder thingies that some ass left lying around. It was scared & clawed him.
I'm sure he could have kicked the cat instead, but it wouldn't have done it much good.
Betty 06-21-2006, 09:29 PM That's true. Man, I've been scratched hundreds of times but that's never happened to me. What luck...
fenianforever1689 06-21-2006, 09:35 PM There was an article in the paper today about this cat.
First. That cat is fluffy and cute.
Second. The owner can get up to two years in prison if the cat gets out?
I have seen cases where peoples dogs have killed neighbor's pets and/or attacked neighbor's children and I NEVER heard of them having this kinds of sanctions.
