SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO BOTTOM - SLOWLY
Guido 06-19-2006, 05:10 PM Not to defend the repulsive Hillary, but the people who constitute Free Republic are either mentally ill or mentally impaired (i.e., really stupid).
86Dude 06-19-2006, 07:13 PM Too bad we never got to see Vince Fosters autopsy photos.
I hope she gets a malignant tumor in her eyeballs, stupid bitch.
I seriously would consider renouncing my US citizenship if our country is moronic enough to vote for that lying, corrupt sorry excuse for a woman.
Java_man 06-19-2006, 07:30 PM they should call it Freak Republic http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/3892/smileycrazy7pt.gif
boedicca 06-19-2006, 07:55 PM I'm not sure Treasure is the apt term.
Just sayin'.

Man. You guys sure are sensitive about "Her Thighness".

If "we" do elect her, it's because people elect the leaders they deserve. Her election wuld prove that we are so stupid, and that we would deserve her on the grounds of our own stupidity.
Fortunataly, we're not that stupid (AT LEAST, NOT ENOUGH OF US), and she will never win over the swing voters. She'll always have her die hard base of about 40-45%, but that won't win a national election. The swing votes are vital to any candidate of either party, and she is just to divisive, and too reviled to win them over.
So, all of that money she spends on a campaign will be a waste. She could actually help Repuiblicans, because swing voters won't vote for those who endorse her.
So, don't worry about renouncing your citizenship (she's not worth doing that over anyway; win or lose). It won't be necessary.
Although ,I am a bit curious about all of those famous libs who threatened to leave the country if Bush were elected/reelected. They're still here, and still complaining. It's a shame that some of them didn't live up to their threats. That way, at least we wouldn't have to continue listening to them.
Monster 06-21-2006, 08:26 PM Man. You guys sure are sensitive about "Her Thighness".
Considering the wide barrage of pure idiocy that comes out of freerepublic.com, I don't think they're just saying that because it has something to do with Hillary (who I hope is NOT elected president--now or ever). I think they're saying that because the website is about as credible a source of information as the National Inquirer.

Then you can understand how many people feel about Bush, and with more actual experience to justify it. Knowing that, maybe you'll hesitate before condemning them as more partisan than yourself. Or maybe not. Just something to think about.

Speaking only for myself, I wasn't even trying to make that strong a statement. I was simply pointing out that many do use the term "Freak Republic" already - whether or not the moniker is deserved. How that got interpreted as evidence of support for Mrs. Clinton is best left as an exercise for a psychiatrist.

I voted for Buchanan in 2000, but for GWB in 2004. I don't like GWB. However, in a presidential race, I have seen the errors of my previous thinking. The stakes are far too high...and baring a huge wellspring of support for a third party candidate (because of some serious scandal or something), a third party president is just not going to happen. I deemed GWB to be the "lesser of two evils" even though I had to hold my nose to vote for him.
The problem here is that although GWB is mediocre at best, Kerry offered no solutions other than "I'm not Bush". I found Kerry's campaign to be utterly unimaginative and uninspiring.
I guess Kerry's push for more gun control (despite his attempts to portray himself as pro-gun), his fight against the privitization of Social Security, and his stance on the war ("I voted for it, before I voted against it") just made it impossible for me to vote for him. Of course, there's his pro-abortion stance too. At least Bush did lip service to the things I think are important.
Back to Hillary...it is clear to everyone that she's been positioning herself for a run by moving from the far Left to the center. I don't think she's fooling anyone on the Right and I think she's alienating her supporters on the Left.
I don't like her. I never will.
