Well, today is Father's Day...my Dad is in India, so not much father's day stuff to do. I called willie, called my brother in law, and sent an email off to my Dad, otherwise, today has been lazy, mostly. Gym, groceries, some cleaning. I am about to watch some sweet Miami Heat basketball and then go see A Kiss Could Be Deadly at the Knitting Factory. This weekend was graduation at UCLA, traffic sucks. Graduation creates an intense amount of traffic. I hate it.

I've had two very good nights this weekend. Friday night was "Dinner by John, Evite By Angela." A bunch of friends from work and I got together for some good wine, good food, and good company. John made NY steaks, Fish, mashed potatos, pies, and two salads. He ended up cooking for 15 as opposed to like 6, so I think he was a bit stressed, but he drank a lot and enjooyed himself. It was a really good time, we went to Marianna's loft downtown and just kept the wine flowing. Avidan and I, per usual, were late, as we worked until 7:20 and then swung by BevMo and then went downtown.

Saturday I woke up and got lunch with nathan and Daphne's and then we went and saw Nacho Libre. Decent movie. What I expected, worth checking out I think. Then it was off to Joe's.

I had a major dilema, I wanted to hang out with the sawyer sisters, but Willie and family were going to be at Joe's and I hadn't seen them in months. Cody and Pat also, it had been a while, so it was good to go. I ditched out on the Sawyer sisters are unsuccessfully trying to persuade them to go. (not that I don't think I could have gotten them to, I just gave up) but, off I was to Joe's "I am Not a Father, Father's Day Party."

Joe's was a ton of fun. It was most all of the old friends, it was some of Joe's friends. Weird hanging out with a bunch of teachers. Weird, thinking, wow, we're all young professionals and not like college kids and hanging out. Joe got a keg of firestone. He had a bunch of other booze. A long night boiled down to shake your face, cigars, talking to the school librarian, baby Jack, and dipping things in tequila to see how they taste. (Answer, gross) Diane, one of Joe's friends from work actually knows my sister. Small world. I just love meeting new people, love entertaining, and my friends. I got home at like 2:30, my sister and some friends were over, so I stayed up with them until like 5, and then crashed hard...
