The House voted Friday to take away besieged Rep. William Jefferson's committee seat, then dispatched its own lawyers to join his in court to seek the return of documents seized in a federal bribery probe.

Both the political punishment and the legal case appeared to be without precedent. Jefferson has not been charged with a crime, and officials said last month's FBI search of his congressional office was a first.

There is a white member of the Democratic block, who has ALREADY been indicted yet he maintains his position on his committee.

Is Nancy Pelosi a racist? (btw Pelosi is white also).

What is funny about this whole episode is that the Congressional Black Caucus don't really try to defend this guy, they just say attacking him is:

racist!!

Typical.

Um, they just voted him off committee. If the Republicans had any integrity, they'd have done the same with DeLay.
