I had a great weekend. In fact it was too great for a single weekend, it should have been spread out over about a month's time.

I can't remember Friday at all. I have no clue what I did that night. I'm sure it was great because I have fond memories of it. I'm sure there was the visiting of someone, I just don't remember who.

Now, Saturday, that was a day to beat all days. First I cut my ridiculously long hair that managed to grow past my waist. I fought and fought the urge to cut it, for personal reasons, really, but finally gave in. My hair is now two inches past my shoulders.. but that's neither here nor there. That's not what made my Saturday wonderful. Would be sad if it did. :|

Later that day I went to a neighbour's house and played a game of pool. I, of course, won. But, not because the neighbour was drunk.. oh no, it's because I have SKILLS, damnit! I have SKILLS. Let's not dwell on the fact that I knocked the cueball off the table and into the lap of neighbour friend's girlfriend. That doesn't count. No, that doesnt count.

Then, finally, when my friend arrived I was carried off to the going away party of a friend. Oh, dear friend, I will miss you. :( My friend, who decided to rejoin the Peace Corp, is leaving to Belize for another 5 years, so a massive party was thrown for him at a large hacienda type house of a fellow friend.

There was vodka tasting. Lordy, I had no idea there were so MANY types of Vodka! Now, as much as I enjoy vodka, too much perhaps, I do believe that care should be taken when living on a hill sans protective fence from wild life and the occasional tumbling of a human type person. Especially when you have a firepit with fellow drunks whiling about with sticks afire. :|It's just precautionary, really.:| About 25 people or so were involved in the vodka tasting, all including about 25 shots a piece, not an overwhelming sum, but mix that with beer, tequila and hashish and you will have some scary moments in the pool and fire pit that is, really, dangerously close to the edge of the hill.

This danger was ever present, especially when one lass decided she would dance with rattles and spin around fire pit. I'm not naming names, but she had just recently had a haircut and likes to sing traditional songs that no one knew. :|

One other thing to consider when having a party with over flowing vodka and then later Jagermeister, is the use of large (really too large of)flames with the inclusion of vodka near the side of barbecue. This can make for interesting firey moments, sure, and it always looks good on video, but really, we should take better care of our forestery than to plant said barbecue two inches from overgrowth of leavery. :|

My fellow friend has a big beautiful dog. Beautiful, really, and also very, very, very, large. Enough to push a body into a jacuzzi it would seem. I was sat next to jacuzzi with friends, with my feet and calves in. Was relaxing but scary because I really didn't care to be completely in water due to liquor intake and heat of water would turn me into rubber woman and cause me to be really quite useless. Besides is really unhealthy to have running water near drunk folks anyway... but not according to the dog. Oh, no. He was interested in throwing stick into water as well as me, it would seem. Oh lovely, lovely dog who only cared for my wellbeing. :|

oh my.

Well, it was a wonderful weekend anyway that closed up with more billiards and my winning, not by default, but because i really did try my hardest to play well, even though I missed some really great shots, I used distraction techniques such as yelling, "booga boooga boooga!" at the opponet and making indian cat calls. (for anyone interested it would need to be heard to be believed).

All was well, did not lose much more on billiards and made it home safely down winding and turning hill that was slightly aflame when I left it, but not too smokey, so I could see well enough to arrive at the bottom safely. :)
