Talking it over, things seem to get done that way, Said the “Red Bud”. Being a small tree in the in the woods, I see and hear a lot. You see, the Red Oak and the Black Walnut are constantly arguing over space, and light. Since the Red Oak And the Black Walnut are kings of the woods, they demand a lot of room, and light, this often irritates the Red Maple, because she wants to show her colors, and can’t because the Black Walnut has a job of supplying the nuts for the squirrels, and the baby birds need the Red Oak to nest in. But what about me, screamed the White Pine, I make pretty little pine cones that the children pick off me for decorations, and if I don’t get some light soon, I won’t have any pine cones for the kids.

But the Black Walnut told the White pine, you get to grow all year, and we have to sleep during the winter. While You are stretching your arms, we are hibernating with the bears. So what are you complaining about? But the White Pine, still demanded more room, and the Red Bud started to cry, Look at me, cried the Red Bud, I sleep during the winter too. Yet you don’t hear me complaining, and being a small tree, all your nuts fall on me in the winter, and children, they don’t pick pine cones off me. But the Red Maple stepped in, and said to the Red Bud, “You are the Queen of the forest in April, when your naked skeleton becomes gracefully covered, in a beautiful robe of purple leaves. You are almost florescent, as you peek through the sleepy woods in the beginning of spring. All of us bow to your beauty.

Then they realized, they needed each other, and lived happily ever after
