At times, there really is no individuality of life at all.

We can see from the very beginning of our universe’s creation that we are all connected. We stemmed from one initial condition and spread forth from there. I think a great misconception in our thinking is that we somehow have grown separate from these events, that over the passing of time that we must have somehow become a different entity altogether given the fact that so many changes have taken place. But really, where has the matter gone? To where has the energy shifted?

can it be large as well as small?

the separation can be as minute as a quark or as large as the universe. :) but, is there separation or is it perceived? most probably the separation is where most beliefs and faiths germinate. if in the beginning there was only God, from where did the origins of the universe come if not on some level from Himself.
