Like a puppy,

My eyes were glowing green,
the monster of jealousy
throbbing within me.
But I kept him at bay,
I swollowed back tears,

The jealousy, the hurt,
and the loss of self-acceptance
burned inside of me.
I made the worst mistake,
forgetting to keep my emotions secret.
