Having a five minute break in elementary school wasn't
inconvenient, but as you age, five minutes isn't
much . Even when I ventured into college, we had
five minutes to leave the room you sat in for 50 minutes.
Then you are suppose to walk or run a half mile to the next class.
I have had some classes that had no break in between, therefore i was always
tardy. I need at least a ten minute break to regain my thoughts.
Five minutes just isn't enough time.

This has what to do with "in the news?"

I'm not sure where it should go though. The whine cellar? Do we have a forum for random trains of thought?

TEF, maybe?

I've heard some guys don't even need five minutes, but I wouldn't know about that for certain.

At least then you could put it in the Big debates, eh?

5 minute breaks between your posts is not enough.

5 minutes wasn't enough for me in middle school. The hallways were so crowded and everyone was packed in like sardines. You were lucky just to get to your class in 5 minutes let alone get to your locker, open it, change text books and note books, make sure you had your home work and then lock it back an muscle your way back through the stampede to the right class. I ended up having to carry EVERYTHING in my back pack as did a lot of the students. The combined wieght of the school text books and note books sometimes exceeded 40 pounds which lead to spinal problems for several students, myself included.
