View Full Version : The Ghost and my Bebe

So when we moved into this building 7 years ago- there was a ghost (perhaps ghosts) that liked to hang out here. All sorts of things happened and I actually saw a male ghost at our door one night.

Well when we moved over into this current apartment the supernatural did not seem to follow. We've been here almost 3 years and no real happenings.

All of that changed when I started having premature labor. The ghost(s?) have an interest in my bebe. Not malicious just checking in I guess. When I started having contractions one night the tv came on. The tv has been turning itself off and on since then (usually when I'm having contractions) We tried plugging it into a different outlet but it still does it. (you'd think we would know better by now having dealt with it/them before)

Then my mother's hairbrush went missing. We have a caddy organizer between the shower and sink and it just vanished. Two days later it turned up next to the sink.

Last night we were watching American Idol and (rather humorously I think) the sound kept cutting out and the closed captioning would come on. It would last a few seconds and go back to sound. We tried changing the channel thinking it may be a station issue but it happened on other channels too. After about 30 min they stopped playing.

So I'm wondering- do you think there's a connection? I've heard of poltergeists and the sort being interested in pubescent kids but what about fetuses?

Are you sure you just don't have a screwy TV? Plugging into a different outlet wouldn't fix that.

Having been there as long as you have, could it be they are checking in on both of you?

Can't say I blame them for knocking off "American Idol" either...lol. ;)

Just got the tv at Christmas time. Don't know why it would suddenly go screwy but anything is possible. Plus- wouldn't it be more consistantly screwy? Like the same prob over and over? Eh who knows...

Supposedly "ghosts" are locked into a specific locale. This is interesting though. Get the unsual activity on video and post it.

OK, I've given out this advice enough times privately that I might as well do so now publicly... LOL. Truthfully I should have done so earlier, but I get annoyed with the snide remarks from skeptics.

First thing is first... There are several things that could be "ghosts"... Anything from one's imagination to actual ghosts (or worse). To keep things simple, we'll stick with standard ghosts here...

Ghosts can be of just about any temperment or moral alignment, so they're not NECESSARILY hostile. The best thing to do is try to urge them to head off "into the light" & the next life. Prayer for an angel or whatever to come guide them may help too.

The main time you have to worry about ghosts is if they're very old or outright hostile no matter how long they've been dirt napping. Under those circumstances, they'll try to feed on your own spiritual energy to sustain themselves. That's why they like scaring people. It creates a sudden release of strong emotional energy into the area that they can siphon off.

Under those circumstances, you definately do NOT want the boogie hanging around, and it's not likely to want to head off to the light. Instead of giving you some elaborate ritual or whatever, I'll give you some simple stuff that's very belief neutral...

The main thing people overlook when dealing with ghosts specificly is that spiritual law is (essentially) that the material world is reserved for the living. SO, all you have to do to shoo out a legitimate ghost is to firmly & clearly claim your turf with a strong belief that it IS indeed yours. Claim your house or apartment as yours under spiritual law, and demand that it leave your territory & never return. Note your claim is only as strong as your belief in it however.

Additionally, you can pray for help from whatever higher power you believe in to help enforce that claim. That's all it should take with an actual ghost. Note the rules are quite different for other types of beings like "nature spirits" or critters from the lower planes. We won't even get into things like "thought forms" or poltergeist activity that is actually human telekinesis unconsciously flaring up (most common in young teens when this is the cause).

There are lots and lots of haunted places around here (thanks to the good old civil war and antebellum plantations) Our current home was once the site of a big plantation (the actual plantationn burned down about 20 yrs ago) but there is still a graveyard and whatnot in the back yard. I don't really fear many of the spirits I've ever encountered. The only one that made me nervous was the one I actually saw- There was a blond boy w/a long white sleeve shirt "banging" on our front door-except there was no sound. When I opened the door the boy was gone. That one made me nervous b/c he seemed so distressed.

Like I said- I don't get any hostile vibes when these things are happening. I just think They may be curious about the new happenings.

I'm thinking you're right, Faye.

Once the baby arrives, and they figure it all out, you might find your child will have some supernatural "guardians" at hand, ready to assist if needed! :)

The ghosts are telling you to not use the TV as a babysitter for your Bebe.

that is so cool! Maybe they just want to see the baby and when you were having contractions they wanted to be close by to get a look as soon as possible. :)

If they're nice don't make them leave. :(

I think we have a ghost, but I'm not sure. I wish he was nicer. :(
