View Full Version : The Democrats Don't Even Support Their Own. Screw Em!

So far only 2 Democratic senators have signed on to support Sen. Russ Feingold's resolution to censure the president. They are Sen. Tom Harkin from Iowa and Sen. Barbara Boxer from CA. That is astounding. So much for organizational unity.

If you're a Democrat, turn in your resignation now! But just before you do, tell your senator that he ain't shit!

Perhaps, just perhaps, they have access to information the self-important blowhards on the web don't, and know that if they REALLY open the can of worms, they won't have a leg to stand on.

There are so many STUPID things in this uninformed sentence that it boggles the mind...

#1- Russ Feingold is NOT the entire Democratic Party, NOR does he hold a position of Party control. So, if other Democrats don't support him, that reflects NOTHING on the state of "organizational unity". Feingold is a renegade who is merely trying to make himself seem "independent" enough to run for president.

#2- Democrats are smart enough to know that Feingold's proposal is just plain silly not to mention unpopular with 95% of voters.

#3- There isn't a THING "astounding" about it except from among the extremist, anti-American leftists who would love to attempt to destroy the presidency and the USA. No WONDER politicians don't want to do anything with Feingold the dofous!

If you want to see Feingold completely destroyed in an interview, go check out how Chris Wallace made Feingold look like the fool he is on Fox News Sunday a few weeks ago...

Just like every interview in FOX News, the host had an agenda. All he wanted to do was compare the warrantless wiretaps to Watergate. The two situations are not particularily comparable. The only thing they have in common is that they both involve the President breaking the law.

And whether you like it or not, the President still doesn't have the authority to break the law.

Mobile,

vericity's point is valid and clear to many of us former Democrats: the party has become nothing more than a hapless collection of impotent and unprincipled enablers who by uncritically accepting the Republican framework for national debate have sacrificed their essential role as the opposition party to a desire to remain in office. We're tired of making excuses and trying to justify what these politicians do on the ground that they "really" aren't quite as bad as they seem.

I saw the interview when it aired live, and Russ wasn't made to look like a buffoon (so don't even try it). The main point Chris Wallace was making was why not go for impeachment. Russ answered every question and gave valid explanations for his call to censure. Myself, I prefer impeachment though.

They should go for impeachment. But they don't have the cajones.

But who else are you gonna vote for?

I would vote for a Dem in any election if I thought he/she was a good candidate. But to be a card carrying member? No way.

Vote for the Green Party?

I think they should. Of course, they are hypocrites and will STILL vote for the Demosocialists Party, anyway.

No guts. No principles.

Whoever I think is the best candidate. That's goes for local, state and presidential elections. Heck, there may come a time when I don't vote at all.
