If you guessed "Republican," you're right!

the problem of AIDS, or the problem with Bush only caring for people with AIDS outside of the USA?

I said no one . because I think that even the poor can pay something for their healthcare . If charities want to help than it's ok . Bu no way shoud anyone be responsible for others deadly lifestyles . I do know that a very small % can get desease who don't live risky lifestyles . I smoke and I am penalized by insurance . I accept this .

The problem is the big corps who rob us with prices . pushing drugs on us through doc, commercials and illness caused by these drugs that are mosly abused or worse than the desease . then loan sharking the public .

There absolutely is.

Bush continues to propose more funding for AIDS for people in Africa, while proposing making it harder for citizens and non-citizens living in the USA to get these drugs and services.

Theyshould have been quaranteened when it first broke out . Then we wouldn't have this problem . They let a minute group of perverts cause an outbreak on society . Many innocent people died because of it . Too many people were infected with tainted blood .

Unenoculated immigrants are spreading TB now , but the public isn't being warned . Maybe they can pass out some dust masks, like they did the miracle working condoms ! :nonono:

Also mumps that most doctors have never even seen is back with a vengence from immigrants who were never tested for health . Thousands of cases . Bad thing is they are showing a sign of being antibiotic resistant . They can cause men to be sterile . My generaion and one after had them, but meds worked then .

How is Bush making it harder to get Aids drugs?
raising eligibility requirements for aids programs, adding substantial co-payments

Do people really not believe there will be fallout that will affect those who don't have AIDS?

There are no such things as "free' drugs for anyone. Someone pays, and it's usually the US taxpayer.

I believe that we should stop the practice of politically protecting AIDS, and any other specific diseases, and if we're going to dole out meds for people, let's tackle the really big killers like cancer and heart disease. We should educate people about the dangers of promiscuity, and we could at least stop some infections before they happen.

There's also nothing wrong with teaching abstinence. It's the one method works every time.

In Africa, AIDS is spread through heterosexual sex for the most part, and it's basically an epidemic. Until those people are educated on how to avoid getting it in the first place, infections will continue to rise no matter how many drugs we send.

Theoretically, we could wipe out AIDS if people were educated, and honest with their partners. Unfortunately, smany infected people are knowingly spreading it, and those who are unaware of their infection are spreading it as well.

I had a scare back in the late 80's from a girl who I had a sexual relationship with for about 6 months or so. She called me about a year later and told me to see a doctor. I immediately thought she was HIV positive but that wasn't the case. She had HPV, which is far more common and has killed far more women than AIDS probably ever will, because it's a precursor to cervical cancer. It can be spread through skin to skin contact, and condoms do NOTHING to prevent infection. It can also cause certian cancers in men. There's no cure and once you get it, you have it for life. It can lie dormant for years and years yet come back at any time.

I got tested, and thank God I was clean. Ever since that time, my days of promiscuity have been over. Getting laid isn't worth dying for, and telling kids that condoms will make them safe is a disservice, and will lead to more infections of many std's.

I truly can't imagine any sane person knowingly having sex with a HIV positive person, and believeing that a condom will keep them safe. I've more condoms than I can count, and it only takes one.
