Here's where I keep track of all the games I'm going to this season. Partially because I'm a fan, and partially to see if I go to enough games to make it worth getting season tickets next year. They replaced every seat in the stadium and the place looks great. And they put drink holders on the back of every seat. I need to see a few more stadiums, but I really like Dodger Stadium. :nice:

Game 1: Tues, April 4, vs. Atlanta, 5-4 W
First win of the season, with about an hour long rain delay in the middle, forgot the camera.

Game 2: Friday April 14, vs. San Francisco, 1-2 L
About a 2 hour rain delay, we were about to leave when they started playing.

The whole crew minus me:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v605/prjed/dodgers/02thecrew.jpg

Game 3: Sunday April 16, vs. San Francisco, 0-2 L
An absolutely beautiful day, game started at 5:10, but a boring game, I think we only got 3 hits, maybe 4.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v605/prjed/dodgers/03afternoon.jpg

Next up is tomorrow night vs. Cubs.
This thread is going to get really boring :|

Game 4: Wed. April 19, vs. Chicaco Cubs, 4-5 L
Last night's game pissed me off. A ton of men left on base, poor pitching choices, just not a really fun game to watch. There were a couple good moments, but overall it was boring and/or frustrating. Little's grace period where he gets to know the team is just about up, start producing wins, dude, you've got the roster to do it, even with a poor bullpen.

Game 5: Sunday April 13, vs. Arizona, 6-4 W
Pretty good game, aside from Kuo almost blowing the lead. I'm not familiar with him at all. We're now 1.5 games back from Colorado and SF who are tied for first.

Saturday 4 of us went down to san diego to see the dodgers at petco park. Awesome day, awesome game, awesome stadium, a good time was had by all. Except I couldn't catch a buzz to save my life. Maybe it was from all the walking we did.

Figured you'd be one of the few to appreciate this thread. I was really pleasantly surprised by the park, it's really very nice, doesn't seem like there's any bad seats, it was very reasonably priced. It certainly feels new though, and I have an appreciation for the history you can feel in older stadiums. One of the coolest features is the $5 park pass. There's a park out past the outfield with a mini diamond, picknick benches, etc where families with kids can watch the game without having to keep their kids still in seats for 3 hours. Great idea. (you can see just a tiny bit of it on the far left side of the picture of me and my buddies)

Hey Jedly.

What's it cost to see a Dodgers game?

Up here they've started charging more for "premium" games. Premium being when the Skankees or BoSux or some other big team comes to town they tack on another few bucks to the ticket price.:P

The going rate here for field level infield seats is $54 - $65.

igofast
05-02-2006, 02:47 PM
field level infield are $65-70. I really like the stadium though, the $20 seats really aren't bad.

Game 7: Friday May 5, vs. Milwaukee, 4-3 W
Cinco de Mayo game, they let fans down onto the field to watch a pretty awesome fireworks display. Fun game, winning run was scored in the bottom of the 9th. (And dodgers went on to sweep the series, we needed that)

Game 8: Tuesday May 9, vs. Houston, 12-7 W
What a great game! 6 home runs, lead going back and forth, plus some great fundamental small ball. Dodger pitching wasn't fantastic, but the offense tore it up. 12 runs, 14 hits, 0 errors. 4 wins in a row, i think that constitutes a streak! (plus it was promotional fleece blanket day)

They're nice for spring and fall games, but yeah, it's starting to get pretty warm out here. It'll be my "passing out watching tv on the couch" blanket.

After last night's win, we're only 2.5 games back (5 game winning streak!)! Which is pretty pathetic considering our record is 17-17. Our division sucks some ass - which is why we're going to the playoffs!

Who's won 7 of the last 10 world series? And how many games did the NL win in the last 2 again? If the AL are pussies, the NL is the little bitch of pussies. :p

It'd be nice to get out from under the payroll anvil that is the A.L. East.:P

Even though I'm a BoSox fan, I supported revenue sharing and stricter salary caps...until I read about the crap the guy who owns the Royals is pulling. He's bascially just pocketing 100% of the revenue sharing and screwing his fans. And the Marlins seem to be going out of their way to become a AAA team, whether its b/c they want a new stadium or just want out of South Florida, I dunno. But until that sort of crap is ironed out, I don't support it any more.

Either that or I want 14+ guaranteed wins a year against Tampa Bay and almost that many against Baltimore. :p

They f'n blew it last night. Rockies pitcher (I think his name was kim) walked the first three batters and threw 3 wild pitches and all they got was one run in the first. Hopefully the offense will show up and give penny a shot at a W today. We're at .500, only 2.5 games back from the lead, and tied for last place. NL West sucks.

colonel
05-17-2006, 01:01 PM

Dodgers OWNED this game. 25 hits, a club record since they moved to LA.

Game 10: Sunday May 21, vs. Anaheim, 7-0 W
Swept the Angels, dodgers looked really great in this series and are now only 1 game back from the NL West leaders, Colorado, who we play tonight through wednesday, it'll be interesting to see what happens. I'm going tuesday night.

Game 11: Tuesday May 23, vs. Colorado, 8-1 W
We've now won 6 in a row and 8 of the last 9, we're .5 a game back from Arizona. The team is looking really great recently, even the new guys, Aybar, Ethier and Martin. My camera wouldn't take a picture in focus last night. Stupid camera.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v605/prjed/dodgers/DSC01024.jpg

Ebay is my new best friend. The seats from last night were $22 (each) seats, I got them on ebay for $12.50 for both.

I just received in the mail today more tickets I won, four $22 seats for $33 total, and two $35 seats for $25 total.

igofast
06-06-2006, 01:40 PM
Forgot my camera at work over the weekend and then the battery was dead yesterday, so no pictures. Too bad, best seats I've been in so far this season.

Game 12: Sunday June 4, vs. Philly, 4-6 L
We split the series 2-2. Went with my friend Ryan, his first MLB game ever. We had field level seats and used our tickets to bring a couple friends down from reserved, then I noticed a dude I went to college with sitting about 6 seats away, so we had 6 of us sitting together getting pretty drunk. Good times, too bad we lost. On to the Mets...

Game 13: Monday June 5, vs. NYM, 1-4 L
Bummer of a game, not a lot of offensive action. Luckily AZ lost too, so we're still 2.5 games back. Went with a girl I met recently, first date I guess.

Had a 5-2 lead going into I think it was the 6th, heartbreaking to see them blow it like that. It was our starter's (Billingsly) second game in the majors and he looked decent. Had a lot of 2 out with 2 on situations, but he pulled through, it was Baez and Kuo that blew it. Now we're two games back of SD.

Game 23: Monday Sept 18, vs. San Diego, 11-10 W
Un-****ing-real. Best game I've ever been to. Tied at 4 going into the 8th, San Diego scores 2, Dodgers score 1. SD scores 3 more in the top of the 9th, leaving us 4 runs behind, it's not looking good. Kent starts off the inning with a solo home run. Next up is Drew, solo home run. Up comes Martin, who hits a solo home run. Anderson follows suit with a solo home run. Only the 4th time in MLB history that there have been 4 back to back home runs. We go into the 10th tied at 9, SD scores one in the top of the 10th. Kenny Lofton draws a walk and Nomar Garciaparra ends the game with a 2 run HR in the bottom of the 10th.

Anderson went 5 for 5 with 2 home runs. I don't know anything about this guy, but I like him!
