The American people need to learn a hard and very painful lesson; this valuable instruction would be if not lost at least muted if the criminal gang now defiling the Oval Office didn't have a full second term to scale back America's destructive power (while trying to do the exact opposite).

There have been criminal gangs in charge of this government for my entire lifespan. Impeaching Bush won't change that.

The Demopublics will not impeach their "Man".

When are people going to realize that Bush is doing what they want him to do, and that is to distract the rest of America while they jam things like not being able to post annon on message boards, universal IDs and take away the alw abiding citizen's rights to bear arms.

The power he has given the presidencey for either party is massive and between him and Clinton, they have done a wonderful job for the Rockerfellers, Halliburon and the Oil companies.

Oh, and welcome back $3.00 gas.

Gas prices fluctuate independently of the economy.

WOO HOO! Horray for $3/gallon and record oil co. profits Smell those profits cookin'?How does an increase in oil prices translate to more profits for the companies that refine it into gasonline? I mean, when their raw material cost goes up, they increase the price at the pump.

Anyway, BP is a British company. Shell is a Dutch company. And Citgo is Venezualian. If they're making too much profit, we should blame those countries. Shouldn't we?

The oil companies are making record profits during a time when consumers are paying considerably more for the product. Apparently, the profits they're assuming are directly related to the increase in gas prices (I would think).

That does not necessarily mean one caused the other. You have not answered my question:

"How does an increase in oil prices translate to more profits for the companies that refine it into gasonline?"
