View Full Version : Will illegal immigration bring us to the polls in 2008? fat mike 04-18-2006, 12:01 AM And who will it help? Pappy&Me 04-18-2006, 12:08 AM You won't even reconize this place in 2008 , but you will definitly miss it . fat mike 04-18-2006, 12:17 AM Pappy, what if we have a brighter future? We've had the problems for many years and they were ignored=now we're looking for a way to deal with it,I think that's positive... CCC 04-18-2006, 12:28 AM I don't see it benefiting the GOP since most elected Republican officials have been too chicken**** to do anything about it (particularly Presidente Estupido). If they had, it'd be a different story. fat mike 04-18-2006, 12:35 AM Bush doesnt have the GOP under his sway at all-Mccain is large and to be reckoned with. I don't see anyone inspiring among the Dems-they dont have anyone savvy enough to capitalize on this... CCC 04-18-2006, 12:42 AM Bush doesnt have the GOP under his sway at all-Mccain is large and to be reckoned with. McCain is a joke, even with many Republican Party 'Bot loyalists. And the Democrats always have voter fraud to work with. Illegals only help in this effort. fat mike 04-18-2006, 12:57 AM McCain is a joke, even with many Republican Party 'Bot loyalists. That first quote was from Kennedy-absolutely not in the Bible anywhere. Calling non whites swine makes your character suspect.Generousity and charity are good things.I'm not talking about rewarding evil people. You reward evil people by spreading that racist propaganda. I'm around a lot of minorities and they all work. They're not on welfare. Spread your FILTH ELSEWHERE.. Stone 04-18-2006, 02:51 AM That first quote was from Kennedy-absolutely not in the Bible anywhere. "...65% of Americans said that they believed that this statement is in the bible. But it actually came from Benjamin Franklin. It's a good example of a statement that sounds good, and people just naturally assume that it's true" http://www.oldtruth.com/blog.cfm/id.2.pid.230 Take that Ben Franklin filth elsewhere! :P Ponycar_302 04-18-2006, 02:52 AM There isn't a "NO" option. It's an important issue, but it isn't going to bring more people to the polls. fat mike 04-18-2006, 06:30 AM There isn't a "NO" option. It's an important issue, but it isn't going to bring more people to the polls. There should have been a no option, you're right... BooRadley 04-18-2006, 08:25 AM Since the GOP came out swinging on the issue without thinking it through first (big surprise there), it's going to hurt them. They've pissed off a lot of hispanic voters, and that'll hurt them, then they turned soft on their own issue, pissing off their non-hispanic voters, which will hurt them. This has been hillarious new episode of Republican Shortsightedness, the Comedy. Ironweed 04-18-2006, 09:03 AM It won't bring out the voters, since nobody in power is willing to do anything about it. And since both parties are full of richards I took the Justin option. The one very longshot possibility is that Tancredo actually runs. But its an even longer longshot that he'll go anywhere even if he does. I suspect the Rove dirty tricks team would take him out long before he becomes any kind of threat. But even if this didn't happen, the best that woud happen is that it would tear the Republican party right down the middle. soylentgreen 04-18-2006, 01:13 PM It's an important issue, but it isn't going to bring more people to the polls.I've pretty much lost all faith in the people. They are not going to get off their fat asses to go vote. They never will... 302Riz 04-18-2006, 01:49 PM I've pretty much lost all faith in the people. They are not going to get off their fat asses to go vote. They never will... Its one of two things... they are either too busy trying to earn a living or too lazy. soylentgreen 04-18-2006, 02:10 PM Its one of two things... they are either too busy trying to earn a living or too lazy.I don't buy the "too busy to earn a living" business. By law, every employer must provide their employees enough off time on election day to go vote. An hour or two of missed pay isn't as important as voting. The reality is, most people are either too lazy or they just don't want to vote...or worse, they just don't want to be bothered with informing themselves and making the effort. These are the same people who wouldn't miss an episode of Desperate Housewives or American Idol. |
