View Full Version : Legal Immigration
302Riz 04-12-2006, 09:39 PM How many people legally immigrate to the US every year?
I heard on the radio earlier that the USA lets in more immigrants every year than every other nation on this planet combined.
LemonCookie 04-12-2006, 09:55 PM The US lets in around 800,000 to 1,000,000 people a year.
Some decent info is contained here, how biased it is, is up to specuation.

Welcome law abiding ones. Please take a bath. Feel free to speak any language you wish. This is a free country where well bathed people often break the law yet get away with it scott free. It won't take you long to figure this one out for yourselves. Please be patient while we work out the details of your loved ones who have taken the desperate measure of crossing our border illegally. I hope you'll find America a very forgiving and welcoming nation. It really is you know. In time you too will learn to simply ignore the filthy, disgusting, politically incorrect, merciless savages. Unfortunately they too are part of this glorious democracy we share.
Welcome! :)
fat mike 04-12-2006, 11:18 PM i heart the politically incorrect Jojo-he is truly a dog faced boy
soylentgreen 04-13-2006, 01:28 PM Please be patient while we work out the details of your loved ones who have taken the desperate measure of crossing our border illegally. My wife is a non-citizen. Guess what? I had to wait 6 months for her to get a visa to come here. Our government has a right and an obligation to know who is coming into this country, what their background is, and whether they are carrying any communicable disease.
The fact that we went through the correct legal process and others are circumventing it pisses me off to no end. Why are we rewarding lawbreakers and punishing the law abiding?

You're at peace because you did that-these people have to look over their shoulder all the time-we're taking a group of people and giving them a chance to fit in-it'll be easier for all of us,and it'll be easier to get serious about sewing up the border if we don't have a giant population of undocumented people relying on the underworld to survive...
veracity00 04-13-2006, 03:41 PM Pres. Bush - he loves this illegal immi situation. He won't get with his boy Vincente Fox on a bilateral solution because that cheap labor is what makes America go. And if Mexicans weren't allowed to come here in droves, there would be a revolt in Mexico.
This is clearly a leadership crisis. The illegal immis are the scapegoat played up to keep the blame off the reaL culprits - Cheap labor and Bush's corporate paymasters.
fat mike 04-13-2006, 04:26 PM I'm sure Bush hates every bit of this stuff,it's bad publicity for his fascist friends...

Point understood. And I was off topic (My fault 302). Legal immigration works for me.

Keeping these threads on track is honoured more in the breach...they should streamline the process, really for emergency situations at least-how much of this paper mill stuff is really just there for patronage? Jobs for those that love us!!!
302Riz 04-13-2006, 05:45 PM Why should we make it easy?
Why shouldn't we make it easy?
Betrade 04-13-2006, 07:31 PM Why shouldn't we make it easy?
Maybe because it's illegal. It's the same reason we don't make robbing banks and other crimes easy. It's countrproductive and hurts the entire society.
fat mike 04-13-2006, 07:53 PM All this border crossing= bankrobbery---bs rhetoric-border crossing in itself is nowhere on that scale...

Your country does not deport robbers and criminals. Robbers and criminals who are legal citizens are guaranteed certain legal rights.
Thank you for using the appropriate term "maybe".
It's countrproductive and hurts the entire society.
Opinion.
Productivity requires people. Just because a society whines or is concerned about trespassers does not necessarily mean they are in fact hurt by it.
Wouldn't it be great if there were a nation that welcomed the poor and underpriviledged?

There is a country that does that very thing... Its the USA. And most people are kind enough to do it legally.
Snouter 04-14-2006, 12:18 AM The filthy illegal invaders have ruined this country. The only way to remedy the situation is for reparations for law abiding legal immigrants. I would say $3,000,000 for every year a law abiding legal immigrant had to wait would be a starting point.

Actually, we often put them in prison, and in certian cases, execute them.
Don't be naive.
We aren't "whininbg" about illegals and pretending that they're dtertimental. We're stating facts that can be proven quite easily.
As we speak, illegals who "only want to make America better" arer planning some kind of nationwide boycott AGAINST America. I hope they actually do it, then they'll see that no one really cares if they come to work or not, and the criminals who employ them will get what they deserve if they lose money on that day.
The employers are the most guilty parties in this issue anyway. the incentive that they create is drawing illegals into the country.
The real truth is, not enough people will even participate, like every other boycott, and no one will even notice, but the message they're sending is clear. They want to hurt America for a day. That doesn't sound like folks who want to make America better to me.
soylentgreen 04-17-2006, 01:18 PM All this border crossing= bankrobbery---bs rhetoric-border crossing in itself is nowhere on that scale...I think the point here is that crossing the border without the proper visa is a crime...just like robbing a bank is a crime.
The fact is, illegals DO steal from us. Perhaps they don't go into banks and walk out with cash, but they do put a burden on our social services. That's the same as stealing.
