(note, I mean, is being busy worth it, not is life worth it :P)

I've been busy. Life's been busy. Work, friends, family, volunteer work, it does really never end. I keep telling myself to slow down, relax more, and just chill out, but i've not been forcing the issue, things just happen, and I am really just going with the flow. Its been good. I've been experiencing a lot of new things, spending a lot of time with different people, and enjoying old friends.

I was talking with someone recently and I explained, I'd much rather have 5 friends I see 5 times a week than 25 friends I saw once a week. That does 100% hold true, but there is something about meeting new people I love. And it helps me branch out and expand and be less dependent on one person or five people. I still, I think, would rather be dependent on those three to four people I am closest with, but just life in the past year has made me unable to really comit to that anymore. I've been hurt too much and lost too much to really invest that much into so little. (I think of it like putting all of my money into one stock. Sure I could win big, but i could lose it all also)

Work's been alright. A bit too much. Not enough focus. I feel like I tend up doing a lot of cleanup, sometimes a lot of administrative work, and just otherwise stuff I feel I didn't 'sign up for.' It makes me wonder about other opportunities, but I love my boss, love the company, and still see this amazing amount of potential there.

Women have been weird. Mike and I always talk about its a feast or a famine. I'd not had a feast for a while and I am starting to feel like I may be in the midst of one. Its been good, meeitng a lot of new people, but ultimatley, I am not satisfied or captivated or otherwise enthralled. My mind and heart are still occupied by ghosts from my past, and I just need to find some way to move on.

But, on to my last week...

Starting a bit over a week ago, a bunch of coworkers and I went out to Cabo Cantina for two birthdays at the office. i'd never been before, but I always see the litlte shack just sitting on sunset blvd. The place is definately crowded to the seems, but with such a killer happy hour, what can you expect. 2 big margaritas for 8 bucks? I'm sold. We were at Cabo for a while, until maybe 10. I had a few drinks and was feeling good. I spent time talking with Angela, Kim Candice, Avidan, and others. Its a good mix of people at the company, its nice that even though there are decent sized age differences, we all enjoy one another's company. Maybe I also just need to start thinking of myself as older, 24 isn't THAT far removed from 30, right?

Candice comes up to me and says, you know, I was telling Angela earlier that you're by far the best catch in the company. Talk about making an Indian blush. She says she was telling Angela just earlier that day, blah blah. Good feeling to get, ya know? After we finished up at Cabo, a bunch of us headed over to Avidan's to smoke, listen to music, and have some more drinks. We only last until about 11:30, everyone was pretty tired and Angela had to get to the office at 7:30 the next day, so I took Candice and Angela home, and went home, and passed out.

Friday's lately have been a kind of bungled and last minute affair, that Friday proved to be no different. It started off with Nate and I grabbing dinner (I don't even remember what we ate), and then I called up Cody and Joe and they met up with us. I called a few other people, but they were either busy or lazy, no matter, we were going to have fun. We were just chillin, watching some basketball, and having some drinks, when Joe saw 'drunk jenga' sitting underneath my table. Barbara came over and we had some drinks, listened to some music, and she left, promising to be back in an hour after picking 'some stuff' up from someone's house. Score. While she was gone, we decided drunk Jenga made a lot of sense. We opened it up, played 2 or 3 games, and much beer and fun was had by all. Barbara came back (to our suprise) and we were all drunk (to her suprise). We smoked some hookah, Joe passed out, and we went and got like a crazy amount of Donuts. Nathan and I split a ham sandwhich that was perhaps the best thing I ever had. Barbara left around 4:00, I crashed shortly thereafter.

Saturday was a day that began, full of potential. We were lazy, cleaned a bit, drank some water and regrouped. We were deciding on breakfast when Joe declared he needed Del taco. After a debate of how large a 'city block' was, we decided to try for the one in Culver City. We were then going to go see Brick at the Arclight in Hollywood. After a few failed attempts at getting to the Del taco, we gave up, went to the Hollywood Del Taco, and went to the Arclight. Joe was in a bit of a bad mood, because of the Del Taco fiasco, but he was satiated after eating the grub. We get to the arclight at 2:10. Our movie started at 2:05. No dice. They dont' sell tickets after a movie starts. Bust. Joe, said "words cannot describe how angry and disapointed I am." We partially shared his view. We decided to go home, call it a day.

I cleaned some more, which was good, and then went over to Corey's dad's for the game. We had a good time, we won in convincing fashion. I didn't expect that. UCLA to the championship game baby. Ira and I then went to Michelle's house for cake for her birthday. We stopped by the store, got two giant helium filled 2 baloons (it was her 22nd birthday) and some cards. Ira got a My little Pony one. I got her an elmo one. We weren't sure if she'd appreicate the gifts as gestures, as real gifs or if we were just going to ruin her birthday. What we did know is that we were having a good time. We got to her place, she loved everything it seemed, we had delicious ice cream cake and then the debate of 'what to do.' Ira and I were 100% not in the mood for the 'agoura bar scene' and her friends didn't seem it either (a bunch of Israeli girls, who wanted to go to this Israeli cafe in the valley) but we played a long. We ended up going to "Blue" in Agoura, which actually wasn't all bad. We got a few drinks, made some friends, and then Ira and I took off early. I ended up crashing on the early side, and Ira went over to Zachs.

I spent most of Sunday with the family. Nathan and I then went to see Brick (which was very good) and I had dinner with the Cannis.' We went to this Italian joint called Prizzi's in the 'beachwood' area, maybe even nearing Los feliz. Its really tasty with AMAZING garlic bread. I had a good dinner, I love seeing those guys, and then I went home to prepare for the week.

I had told Avidan I needed to leave early on Monday for the UCLA game. I walked over to Mark's and Ira met up with us and this girl Cheryl that Tiffany is trying to set me up with. Tiffany bought and made such a ridiculous amount of food it was amazing. The game was not. UCLA didn't bring it. We didn't play hard. We dind't play smart. Florida just outplayed and out hustled the Bruins. It was bad. The night was fun though. After the game, we dicked around a bit, talked some, and then left. Not sure what kind of impression I made on Cheryl, but im not really sure she's my type anyways. And I am still hung up on some other people anyways...

Tuesday I went big ballin with nathan. We went to Carmines II, this Italian place on Santa Monica Blvd. I'd go there again, but with a date, not with a buddy. It was a nice place, good food, good wine. We ended up spending 70ish bucks each, one of the most expensive meals I've had...but it was well worth it. We had good fun. We went home, watched Thief and drank. good times.

Brenda is back! We hung out Wednesday after work. I thought I'd get off at 7:30, but of course, as 9 rolls around. I rush home, she comes over and we go grab some drinks at this little place by my apartment. We just caught up on whats new, whats old, how her trip was. We're going to get together to look at pictures soon. its nice having her back. I forgot how close we were at one point. There was just this time of my life where I forgot how close and important a lot of people were, I was just too consumed with what I was doing. We went back to my place, had some hookah, and then she went to bed.

Thursday may have been as bungled of a night as I've had in a long time without Ira. Stace recommended this pub to go catch the game at, so I met avi at this pub...but all they had on was soccer. So we start driving down Ventura Blvd. until we find this redbrick pizza joint that MUST have the game on. It did, but had no seats, but we coudl stand for the lakers. The game ended up being a good game, but we lost. The pizza was decent, the beer was free flowing. Kim joined up with us. I think she had a good time, we're definatley getting a lot more comfortable with one another, which is great. We all parted around 11, and I got home, stayed up too late smoking and went to bed. I got a wicked burn on my arm from a stray hookah coal shard too.

Last night a gang of us got dinner on Sunset in hopes of seeing Tiffany's friend at the Roxy, but were too late. We went back to my place and saw the Aristocrats. People talked about Saget and Carlin. I am telling you Godfried is what did it to me. His joke was so horribly wrong and his delivery so ****ing great, it was amazing. People left around 2, we crashed around 3, and I woke up early for lunch with the family.

I am seeing here, its like 3, going over to Nate's in a bit, then meeting up with Steph and Liz and then Barbara's birthday party. Busy me. I'll prolly bounce early from the party, im just tired. tomorrow will be relaxing, cleaning, basketball, and just enjoying the sun, I hope.

More soon...

Lisa-

Too much cleaning? You dind't see how filthy my apartment was :)

Dawn-

www.IndiaFriendsAssociation.org is the one that takes up most of my time. The big fundraiser is next weekend, so I've been helping with preparations for that.

Doug-

:)

I am suprised you people actually read that ridiculously long post, it was more for my benefit than anything else.
