Curiosity is a strange thing. It can make you take action. Take pause. Dizzy. Puzzled. Curiosity can save you. It can thwart you. Ultimately, I've found, curiosity just powers me.
I love my nephew...and from him an extension to children on the whole. I love how curious they are. They want to see how everything works, they want to be everyone's best friend, they want to go wherever they are not allow to go. Its amazing watching a child figure out what a light switch does, what a knob does. Its amazing watching them think, process, and turn over ideas. We give children such little credit...so much less than they deserve. They are experiencing more of the world than any of us...at least at times. They view it unbiased, with open eyes, and like a sponge...
I marvel at my own curiosity at times. I mean, from news to politics to mechanics, electronics, computers, philosophy, I really do want to know it all. I want to learn, experience, grow. I want to taste everything there is and then get seconds...
I think thats what makes meeting new people so much fun. It allows you to learn about them, find out how they work, what they do, their stories. There's another side of being curious...finding someone that makes you go "I want to know everything about you." Have you met someone like that? Multiple people? Have you met someone where you just wont' feel complete unless you learn everything there is to know about them? Someone who you can talk to for an hour and then want to talk to for another hour? Its an amazing feeling and I love meeting people that make me feel that way. They are definately few and far between, I can probably count the total number on a hand, but when you encounter someone like that, you just want to grab on and hope you don't let go...
I just love the feeling...its excitement and anxiousness, rolled into one...
