Of eating solid food, that is.
I broke my jaw, and now it's wired shut for the next couple of weeks. Looks I'll get some leniency in classes by being able to drop a couple of them too.

time to get creative FL.

soup is good for you and there are lots of different kinds.

fresh fruit smoothies, yogurt, gazpacho, iced tea with lemon and sugar.

no open mouth kissing for a while but you'll be fine.

it'll be over before you know it.

Soup is better, that sugar leaves a nasty after taste...

Soup tends to be thicker and heavier, so it requires a helluva lot more effort to suck it up a straw, which is how I have to consume everything. It ends up hurting me more than anything else.

How did you break your jaw?

I passed out and fell on my face, specifically my chin. Had twenty one or so stitches for that. I was really tired.

Did you black out, or pass out?

And how long were you sleep-deprived for?

Break out the blender and get creative. You can make everything from fruit smoothies to mashed potato and chicken smoothies.

My brother lost about 30 pounds when his jaws were wired so you have to ingest lots of calories if you don't want to wind up like him.

What's the difference between the two?
I collapsed last Friday at 5:30 PM. I had been sleeping pretty much non-stop since Thursday night around ten or eleven PM.

I've lost a ton of weight already, but I don't mind. I'm losing it slowly. Probably come off twenty some pounds lighter, bring by total weight loss since the end of August (when I started school) to something like sixty or seventy pounds.

And considering I'm moving back onto campus tomorrow, I am at the mercy of the creative geniuses of food services.

have you been able to eat solid foods yet?

by the way, that's awful. sorry to read that you broke your jaw. i've only ever know one other person to break his jaw, but that was during a fight with someone at school. his jaw was wired shut also. *shudders*

hope that you're feeling better. :)
