I've never checked any of them out - don't know if anyone else here has. Here's the story, though. (The thread title comes from the headline that was posted on Yahoo's front page - the link is the article's title):
Cheating Hearts Caught Online (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nf/20060307/bs_nf/41929)

that's a pretty scary concept... women don't exactly have a reputation for being honest and fair when describing their ex's.

Well, Stone, supposedly that True Date site is for both genders but only for people who are registered with it. Not sure if your ex had ever put up any online dating profiles, but you could use that (and other) site's Search/Inquiry features to look into it.
Seems to me that when folks want to vilify an ex they tend more to do so either via blog (either their own or one of a sympatico friend) or on boards like this one, that is either wholly or partially relationship-advice-based, in order to reach the widest possible audience.
Keep in mind, however, there was a thread recently (in the Lounge, I believe) where some jilted loser posted a link to a pic of the girl who, most likely, dumped him. He was looking for negative comments on her appearance in some psycho attempt to make himself feel better. Not only was posting the pic wrong but, needless to say, his attempt at comforting himself was totally non-productive.
There are certainly ways to post valid criticism/complaints regarding an ex, either in this forum or in the Whine Cellar. You could also use the Search feature (Advanced Search may work in this case) to see if someone else has already put up a thread with a similar complaint. Could even be someone has already posted about your ex if it sounds like-minded enough!
