Man, last week was such a loaded week. It is one of those weeks where you feel like you had no time to breath, no time to eat, no time to sleep. At the time, and in retrospect though, I loved it. I love being busy (usually.) Stress powers me. I love being involved in my friends lives, I love being so busy with work, I feel overwhelmed, I love meeting new people, I love seeing family, I just love it all.

IFA, stars, things I miss, things im happy about, new people, jen/amber

Well, a lot had happened in that week (and not too much in this last) so I do want to continue to flesh this out, and maybe one day get caught up on it all.

On Monday the 13th, I left work around 8, visited Ira. It was the night before his surgery. (wow I cannot believe its been two weeks, at the same time, I can't believe its ONLY been two weeks). We watched 24, hung out. We talked a little bit about the surgery, if he was anxious or worried. He was getting a cyst removed from his spine, and perhaps a trimmed disc (he ended up not getting a disc trimmed) It was a good, although somber visit. jody had a doctors appointment early in LA on Tuesday, so she asked if she could spend the night. She came over late, we basically got ready for bed and crashed, I was exhausted and had work early, she was tired and had her appointment.

Tuesday was the only day this week I was able to leave work at a decent hour. It was valentines day! Though I hate this holiday, it is always going to be important, it is my Mom's birthday also. I called her once I got into the office and wished her a happy birthday. She was baby sitting my nephew...which is actually a present, not a chore! They were going to go out to lunch, not dinner since everything is so crowded and the service usually blows.

I was in a bit of blah situation. I hate valentines day. But people that don't know me well enough don't love me and appreciate me for that, so I had to do something. Ira also was having his surgery that day, so I wanted to try to see him post op. Alice and I ended up going to dinner at Gaylord's, which is the 'nicest indian restraunt in LA.' Its not the best food, but the service, the atmosphere, and good drinks. The waiter ended up approaching me in Hindi, so I talked to him in Hindi a bit, which she found amusing. It was a good dinner and then I took off to try and see Ira. He was still drugged up, so he ended up going to sleep before I was able to get out to him. I went over to Nathan's house. We watched some shield and then got into the hot tub. We were able to talk, which we hadn't in a while, and were able to bitch about work, life, women, and all that jazz. I got home and was just happy to have a good night.

Wednesday ended up being a late night, i don't even remember what I was working on. I think we were doing phone system updates. I ended up being at work until 9:15-9:30 and then went over to Studio City to meet up with corey for dinner and lost. We went to the Pita Kitchen, which I love, and then to his place for lost, which was pretty damn good. Back home to sleep and wake up to rinse and repeat. I would have gone to see Ira, but again, I worked too late...

Thursday I told Avidan I HAD to leave early to see Ira as I hadn't been able to see him since his surgery. Of course, there was VERY important work that HAD to be done. (it was important and did need to get done) I went to Ira's to see him. His dad made dinner for me, which was so nice of him. His family si seriously like the nicest family you'll ever meet. He was doing alright. Not much pain, mostly discomfort, but bed ridden for 2 weeks. He can stand to eat, and thats about it... (he's since in the same position, but tomorrow he can start sitting) We hung out for an hour or so, he was getting tired, so I left, went to Nathan's and then he came over and I had to do my work, so we hung out. I made us up some scotch's (my new drink) and just worked away. You can really pound those without realizing if you do so while working. The work was acutally fun and really interesting, so I enjoyed that a lot...

Friday, I worked really late, especially for a Friday. I just wasn't feeling like much. Nathan was seeing a 3 hour movie, some other friends were going out in Hollywood, and other friends were going to a comedy show. Ira and tasha were at Ira's house watching movies (but he'd probably fall asleep soon after I got there). I went home, made some dinner, and showered and Alice came over. We just watched some TV and hung out for a while, and then around 1 I headed to my parents house, as my sister was going to spend Saturday with them, and I'd baby sit Anshul!

Saturday started out as a major bust. I anticipated getting woken up by my nephew but instead woke up at noon. I went downstairs and no sister, no nephew, she cancelled on us, for a Myriad of reasons. No worries. I swung by Nathan's and then Ira's. We hung out for a long time, watched some of basketballs all star festivities and then I met up with nate stern, avi, corey, and char for some dinner and drinks. I had a great time. I love getting together with avi/char. Its been really good conversation and just 'real' friends lately, ya know? We had much to drink and then headed our own ways.

Sunday ended up being a crazy late night. I did the family thing and saw Anshul and then I went to Ira's house to watch the All Star game and just hang out. I bounced for home when Amber gave me a buzz, so I met her after her work. We went to In N Out and then to this awesome hookah store in Hollywood. Our visit was cut short, because I needed to do some work early in the morning. Avidan ended up calling me, and I went over to his place and hung with him and Ana until like 4:30AM. Its awesome being friends with your boss. We just smoked and talked and watched ridiculous TV on MTV. I got home around 5, decided I needed to to make it until 6, watched some cartoons, and then crashed hard.

Monday I had to do some work, so I woke up to get the work done and then fell asleep. it was a good lazy day. I met with Alice for lunch, she didn't have it off, and then a bunch of nerds came over for a nerd game fest. Sweet.
