View Full Version : Fastest text messaging?
LaFawnduh 02-15-2006, 07:07 PM What do you think? I ask because I had a sidekick forever that I just dropped in a glass of water about a month ago, and now I'm back to a regualar phone. I used to think that QWERTY keyboards were it, and that nothing was easier or faster, but now I've discovered predictive text and gotten good at it (I use T9).
No_Brakes 02-15-2006, 07:08 PM Text messaging is evil, imo. If it's that important, just call me, damnit!
T9, I've found is alright, until you hit words not in there.
I'll keep my qwerty treo

Why call when you can text?
Do I really have to hear the person's voice???
No_Brakes 02-15-2006, 09:23 PM You just don't know what you're missing! :p ;)
Nothing like the sound of a sultry, sexy voice telling you all you need to hear - and maybe even more!!! :D
Gibson 02-15-2006, 09:25 PM :eek7: Um, no. Plus if I'm typing something out I have more time to think about what exactly I want to say instead of sounding stupid

Exactly!
Naw, I LOVE texting, mainly because a lot of the day, I am in a position I can't talk...but I can text.
Betty 02-16-2006, 11:12 AM Since I'm an instructor, the texting is good for me. I can't just stop in the middle of a lecture to answer a call.

Nah, far from. I just get embarassed easily and would rather not talk on the phone. :p I could spend 15 seconds longer composing an email or a TM but I'll be sure the right point got across :nice:
Element 02-16-2006, 03:33 PM texting is pretty useful sometimes, or you can use multimedia messaging and send a picture from a phone to an email address when you need it.
I love text and use it all of the time but i hate the text that does the words for you as you type letters. I am fast on my own without the help.

Yeah, you have to personalize it first, I think. Now that I've been using it for a while I've added enough words that T9 doesn't get my thing wrong. They're adding words to the dictionary all the time, too, funny ones:
