I'm starting on my tattoos soon!!! :D :D :D :w00t:

I'm going to start with the howling wolf on a hilltop silhouetted by a full moon on my left shoulderblade.

Then I'm going to get the Green Man (a face made of leaves) on my right shoulderblade.

Depending on how addicted I get to getting ink, I've got plans for an entire upper back piece where the hilltop that the wolf is on will extend across my back and become a forest piece where the Green Man lives, and it will extend across my upper back and onto my right upper arm, where I'll have a Tree of Life. The downslope of the hilltop, in front of the wolf, will have the rest of the wolf pack (also howling).

It'll be done in itty bitty pieces, but I'm starting it soon!!! :D

:w00t:

that's so cool!!! :D Are you worried about keeping up with it at all? Don't you have to get it redone every few years?

Is it just gonna be black or colored?

post pics!!! :D

It's gonna be polychromatic, but not fully. I don't want a full-spectrum tat, that'd be a bitch to maintain and if the colours started to blend it'd look like I got tie-dyed.

And yes, it'll have to be touched up every so often. Such is the nature of the beast.

Pics will appear as I go through the process. :)

Who's doing it?

I'm not big on assymetrical backpieces, but at least you are getting trendy flash.

Also, full colour should be sweet, if your artist is worth paying.

I have a few artists that I'm going to, for lack of a better term, interview before I start it. The first one is the woman who did my girlfriend's tat. She did good work, but what I'm asking is drastically different from what my gf has done at the moment.

It would be totally cool to do the Green Man on one shoulder and the Black Man (his opposite in the Celtic Mythos) on the other side.

I'm familiar with the Black Man, actually. I may add that into the design at some point, but as it stands now I'm comfortable with just the Green Man.

I just dont get this whole thing. Are you like showing off for someone? Do these paintings define you in some way? Is that how you want to be identified to others? Since you will not be able to see this work, I can only assume it is for others to enjoy. Does the thought of it being there comfort you more than just thinking about it? I just dont get tattoos and peoples bizarre need to get them. :nonono:

She didn’t just have tattoos. I know I might have been stereotyping a bit, but im sure my assumptions wouldn’t be too far off. :hmm:

Unfortunately, yes. :hmm: It won't be so bad when I finish sleeving the whole arm though.

My next tattoo will be some red colouring. Other than that, my next tattoo will be some touch ups and pastel-coloured polluted fumes get coloured in. Other than that, my next tattoo will be a mushroom cloud.

Other than that...um.

I'm scaredy of the whole tat thing. Each time I get in the chair, I think, "do I really want this when I'm 80?"

I'm such a chicken.

Lots of different pieces. My left arm has been left blank for whenever I figure out what I want for one whole arm piece.
