Anyone studied Bigfoot and related species?
I've read a lot on that for years, and think there may be something to it.
Perhaps the strongest case can be made by a purported hair that an Army DNA analysis said is from an unknown species. And so many sightings seem to come from credible people, mostly those who hadn't previously believed in the things.
I'm sure that at least 83.662% (:D ) of the hype is bogus, but the rest...could be.
I know a former college dean who was acquainted with the guy who made, "The Legend of Boggy Creek", about one of these things near Fouk, AR. My pal said he looked at tracks in a field used in the movie, and length -to- width ratio was improbable, probably put there by pranksters or the film crew. But he also said that local people believed in the animal, and one guy was hospitalized after it attacked him. Experienced hunting dogs put on the trail shied away from it in terror, and those dogs had "run" bears with no problems.
