God, I just keep on being busy and busier. I've been back for a week and a half and I've driven to Victorville, Temecula, see Anshul, Ira, Tasha, and worked a **** amount...

I got back from DC on a Tuesday, stayed out of work the whole day, and then went out with Nathan and Amanda for a good Indian food dinner. Wine, lots of eats, and good times.

I went into work Wednesday, went to Nathan's after work, watched some TV and went in the spa.

Friday Ira got back from South America. Tasha, Ira and I got together at her house and had good times. We watched ridiculous news, Lost, and and went in the spa. The news was crazy. It felt like a BAD daily show. Like, the style, the setup, how the news people talked. It was pretty ovious why Daily Show is so great...it is even less over the edge than the real news is...

The next morning I woke up early, picked up Ira, and we made the long and arduous drive to Temecula for Tiffany's 25th birthday. We got there a bit later than intended, but it was a good time. Mikey, Amy and of course Mark and Tiffany were there and Avi and Char came a bit later. It was nice hanging out with Avi and Char, I don't get to do it nearly often enough...we had some drinks, played a rousing bout of Taboo (Mark and I rock) and then went into the Moon Bounce, which is just as much fun when you're 24, as when you're 10. (It was also Tiffany's nephew's birthday, so thats why there was a moonbounce. We went and grabbed some dinner and then I tried to drive home and not die. (I was up till 5 the night before watching the first 4 episodes of 24 I missed while I was in DC.

Sunday Ritu and I babysat my nephew and then I went back to my apartment to rest up for the week...

I had a decent week this week. I saw Ira a lot, which was nice. We caught up, were dumb, watched TV, just typical Manu and Ira stuff. He's in an interesting spot, pretty listless, he's waiting on some doctor results, before deciding where to jet off to next. I don't think anything really of note happened during the week. I have been having a good time with coworkers, getting closer with a few of them, which is nice, especially considering how hard it is to meet people and make new friends. Oh, and HOOKAH, I've smoked so much hookah this week, I hadn't smoked for so long, it was glorious.

One awesome thing during the week, on Tuesday, Avidan had us over for lunch. He made home made baked zitti, dessert, homemade sangria, and then we smoked hookah for an hour...what an awesome lunch...

Thursday night I was going to go out with ira and tasha to see the wood brothers at this club in Hollywood. I would have loved to, I was just totally exhausted. I ended up going over to Alice's and cooking dinner with her, it was fun, nice, and relaxing...

This weekend was good times. I was hoping for a 'big group' outting friday night. Cheryl and I got some dinner and then Tess, Ira, Nisha and I went out to temple bar. I was hoping Renee, Kim, and Angela would meet up, but they all had other things going on..initially, temple bar planns came about because of Tasha, but she flaked...

Saturday was Jack's 1st birthday party. It was way out in Victorville, if it was anyone else's kid, I'd probably have not gone, but for Jack, I had to. I got a later start than I wanted and traffic on the way in BLEW, but once I got there, I had a good time. I ended up having like a full bottle of 'sparkling white wine' and 5 or 6 beers, and just playing poker, watching TV, hanging out.

Jack is adorable, much bigger than I thought he'd be, beautiful blue eyes. Willie has a gorgeous son.

Its still weird to think my best friend from 1st grade has a child...it does make me feel a bit old, I am a bit dated I guess..

I also realized, I love meeting new/different people. People who I dont' know very well or people I am just meeting, I feel I make great first impressions. I make really good initial interactions. People laugh, people talk to me, and just that is a time when what I do, who I am, and what I think feels impressive and that people care...its hard to pinpoint. One of Brianna's friends, she was just awesome, and she at minimum humored me a lot by laughing at my jokes and talking to me...

I drove home, probably too fast, like 100-110 mph, got home, stayed up late, and slept to come home and hang out with my family.

Today was great. I got home, in time to see Madhu and Anshul. We hung out for an hour, Anshul and I played 'bump' (where we slide down the stairs) and we played with my hat. He was SO happy to see me. I love him. He loves me. its a good deal.

I then hung out with my parents, they just got back from 3 weeks in South America. And then in 2 hours, my dad and I had to put together a DVD for our non profit, on the project we monitor. It came out REALLY good and it is such compelling video, its pretty ridiculous. Basically, street vendors used to need to bribe people every so often to stay in business, and we're trying to organize a 'street vendors business district' to keep it clean and tidy, but to also allow them to operate.

My parents went to their meeting, Ira came over and we watched the Laker game, I went to Ira's for dinner with his family, we watched Family Guy and American Dad, and now im here, feeling a bit like ****, and writing in my journal.

Funny story, outside of 7-11, this kid goes "are you 21" and ira goes 'yeah, and im not buying you antyhing' and walks past. The guy goes 'seriously?" and I go yeah. he goes, "I have money." what a loser.

Here I am...

I hope so, but you know how my schedule goes...

glad to see you enjoying yourself. :)

This place in Brentwood. It was good, but not great, and overpriced. This place on Wilshire called Akhbars is good.

Yeah, I've been there, it is pretty good food, nice ambiance.

what is hookah?
Water pipe to smoke flavored tabacco.

Hookahs are the big communal water pipes with the rubber tubing...
No rubber tubing on my end (I picture a scientists lab or medical tubing)
