I realised I didn't want Google collecting my data anymore so I uninstalled it. Now my Firefox runs invisible and I can't use it anymore (typing this through IE :()! A reinstall would supposedly fix it, but I don't want to lose all my bookmarks, search engines in the search box, skins etc. - what am I to do?! *panic*

Also, I think it has somehow caused Trillian to start crashing at startup again. You'd think it has no connection, but uninstalling GWA was the only change I made today. Why oh why did I ever get involved with the machine from hell that is Google :(

If you somehow uninstalled a shared dll then it could I guess. Reboot your PC, that might work. If not reinstall Trillian, your database might be ok and not removed by the uninstall, but I don't really know as I don't use Trillian.

Hey everyone, it's okay now - I just backed up my profile, reinstalled without ever uninstalling, and it all worked (I didn't even need the back up). But I'll be damned if I ever install Google software again...
I've never even heard of GWA. I have the google toolbar and it works fine
if you have system repair turned on, go there and go back to before you did it. then do some research on the net about how to do it safe.
