I've been reading review after review, and most say that the speakers on most LCD's are inadequate (go figure). I was looking at options, and found the Bose Cinemate. Reading on AVSforum and most people despise Bose and their price and one person suggested getting a good set of THX speakers used for PC's.
Seems like a good idea. I don't need 5.1 sound. I have a receiver and everything. I just wanted more sound from the LCD I'm about to get. I don't need it loud, as I'll be in an apt. I also don't want to take up alot of room. These little speakers, such as the Logitech 2300, seem to be a perfect match.
Now, I know they have a headphone style plug (3.5 I think is what it's called?). Do they make an adapter so that I could just plug it into the TV or should I just plug it into the headphone jack and leave the speakers on all the time, that way, when I turn the TV on, good sound is waiting? I was even thinking that I leave my Logitech Z560 (can't remember model) on all the time for my PC so this shouldn't be a problem.
I guess my only real question is, has anyone else done this? It seems like a much cheaper option then going with Bose or something else that requires a receiver.
