I decided not to attempt building my own PC.

*allows time for groaning and general vegetable throwing*

Anyways, thanks to Betty and all that helped in making my decision!

This is what I went with:

www.abs.com
Ultimate M6 Sniper (http://www.abs.com/app/m6s_specs.asp)

CASE:
http://65.119.30.141/Productimage/11-133-132-25.jpg

Mobo: Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe NVIDIA nForce4 SLI at full x16 x16 mode AMD Socket 939

Proc: AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 2.6GHz (2 x 1MB) L2 Cache Dual Core

RAM: Quantity 2 of Corsair XMS Xtra-Low Latency 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR 400 2-2-2-5 (Total 2GB)

GFX Card: Quantity 2 of Geforce 7800GTX 256MB/256-bit GDDR3 PCI-E

Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS 7.1 with 1394

Hard Drives: Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10000RPM 8MB SATA X2 (Raid 0 Striped)

CD/DVD Drive: Sony 16x DVD-ROM Drive (Black Color)

Media Drive: Mitsumi 8-In-1 Card Reader with Floppy Drive Combo

Speakers: Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker out of stock Auto-Notify

Free stuff that comes with it:
FREE Far Cry 64-bit Edition ($50 Value)
FREE Microsoft Works 8.0 ($30 Value)
FREE Rise of Nations Game ($30 Value)
FREE Flight Simulator Game ($30 Value)
FREE Age of Empires III ($30 Value)
FREE ABS Graphic T-Shirt ($20 Value)

My goal was to build that best possibly gaming machine for $4,000 (This budget was just for the system, not including another monitor and keyboard/mouse.) I feel like I accomplished just that... as the total bill after shipping NEXT DAY AIR comes to $4,034.99 and I'll have it Jan. 30th (weeks sooner than competitors could offer.

Now I'll just add one of these:

(Logitech Gaming Keyboard & Mouse)
....with the Best Buy points I have saved up

Only thing left is to find the perfect Gaming Monitor and I'll be set for a very long time. Plus I didn't need to canabalize my old PC, and it will still work fine on games Pre 2006, and will mainly serve as file storage, web surfing, and graphics design.

:nice:

I'll probably go with this monitor:
ViewSonic VX922 19" LCD Display, 2ms, 650:1 contrast
