One major problem with Western Society is we're simply not protective enough of our females-I guess women should have access to most of this forum but when the men get really nasty perhaps female access should be prohibited.

you do understand this is a joke?

The Everything Forum is for adults-only discussion, it's where our sexual threads are supposed to go.

The Not Work Safe forum is where all of the images and videos, etc. are linked (but not hosted on our server).

Again, the photos are only half of what TEF is about. And that thread is only one of many.

If you don't want to engage in that part, you can always just stay in TEF itself, as opposed to the NWS forum, and just engage in the discussions.

Lol, boy are you misinformed.

If I am scrubbing the toilet its not because I prefer the duty more than my man does. It means
A) I hate the filth more than the work
B) The man pretends not to 'see' the dirt in order to get out of a nasty chore.
Also note while doing this chore more often than not, the man is the target of my frustration. There is no pleasure in these activities, only a pleasant end result...cleanliness.

Unfortunately, even though my man & I split the bills & both work 40+ hours a week, it is I whom society judges for having a dirty home, and not the man. Some stereotypes are hard to remove.

Calm down,Sweety-I could just concede the point but then you'd walk away thinking I was evil-the "nesting" element in your makeup enables you to see dirt and won't let you ignore it,it also makes you more sensitive to the judgements of society. The thing is a package deal and almost diabolically conceived I might add.Men have to fight wars and hunt for bears,we can't afford to put our attention on the speck of dirt in our boot.

boedicca
02-20-2006, 08:00 PM
The housing market here is insane. I bought my house 10 years ago and it has nearly tripled in value. I can never move unless I want to downsize to a smaller abode (I am too much of a packrat for that maneuvre).

I think the escalation of prices has been severely exacerabated by creative (re: deceptive) mortgate financing. I put 20% down. My sister's fiance just bought a $1.2M house in Berkeley for 0% down. This is absolutely insane. Such loans are usually adjustable - his mortgage will go through the roof if rates increase. I would never want that much debt - but to each his own.

Bear Stories
02-20-2006, 08:09 PM
I was really lucky. I had some family money so my debt load is really low. And thank God for that! If I had had a heavy house payment when my ex walked out, I don't know what I would have done. I have friends who make ridiculous house payments, and I honestly don't know how they do it. Two, three kids in private school and a house payment of $1000 a month? Toss in a couple of car payments and they're broke.

I don't wear anything uncomfortable to look more appealling. I don't wear heels and I don't wear girdles, or spandex. I don't know that many who do. I am not a doll, I am a person. I do not try to mold my body into something someone may find appealing. I'm me, big feet, fat ass and all.
I am also not unlike many other women, who feel the same way.

You keep trying to analyze women & put them in neat packages. We aren't stereotypes. We are individuals with feeling & aspirations. Our sole existance isn't to be men's playthings.

No kidding. I don't know what FM's problem his, but he obviously has a bad attitude about both men and women. And he lives in AUSTIN, for God's sake, an extremely liberal city filled with university students and progressive politics.

I love and admire Texas women, who by and large are independent and quite practical, not to mention the prettiest girls in the country. To judge and dismiss them all by the denizens of whatever microcosm he exists in is not only unfair, but totally ludicrous.

If you don't live here you don't know.

I've lived in Austin twice before, for years at a time, and have spent a whole lot of off-time there as well. There is nothing insulated about my environment, as my travels take me among all walks of life. But I do have the sense to limit my time in areas that do not appeal to me.
Aside from the "pissy" frat and sorority kids, your city has an abundance of artists, musicians, educators, social and political activists, writers, environmentalists, and nonpretentious bohemian folk...of all ages and degrees of "beauty." And of course there is SO much natural beauty to find tranquility in...the lakes and hills and rivers and parks....spend some time there, and you will possibly find people on the same page as you seeking peace as well. Have you ever considered or tried to change jobs and locations so that you are around less-depressing people? You really should, as you seem to be becoming very bitter and self-isolated.

And one other thing: you never really know a woman until you are her man, for that is whom she will most reveal her true nature to, not her co-workers or the clerks and other acquaintances she encounters on a daily basis. In other words, women may seem shallow and superficial to people whose lives they skim in mundane activities, but to their lovers and friends they most likely present great depth and warmth. Don't judge the surface just because you aren't permitted to see what's within.

What is more deserving of attack than the stilted and artificial way men and women interact? I'm not a child,I know what I'm fighting.
Sexual liberation didn't liberate anyone.
Society in Texas is caste ridden and reactionary. They call themselves "liberals" because of their "progressive" lifestyles-the Bosses are still cruel and selfish and noone challenges their stranglehold.

I have this image in my head of the 1918 garment district fire. Apparently, in Bruce's head, women still jump off roofs to avoid the flames.

Perhaps you should try Wisconsin.

At least find you a nice, traditional Oma in New Braunfels or Gruene and spend your days peacefully stuffing German sausages.

I know you're kidding but I find nothing really wrong with the idea.

Again the idea surfaces that I'm behind the times-I'm nowhere near as conservative as you people think.
In the past women were regarded as pets or property-I'd prefer to spend time with a lady who could take me to task,I wouldnt want to deal with an immoral woman, she should be faithful to me etc-but she shouldn't see the man as some kind of king,I don't want her performing obeisances to me,I don't her to be fearful of expressing herself...

Oh, sweetie, I'm teasing you. And, really, you don't have to worry about the obesience thing. Not only will I not curtsey to you, I'll probably kick your ass. Just ask Ryan, and really, man, wear a cup. ;)

But this doesn't mean that I don't love being treated like a lady, which is what I suspect you were trying to say, yeah?

The Amisch are ahead of you backwards backwards people.
I don't care to have my a55 kiked thank you.Romance should be a gentle and slow thing.
Women are still constrained by biology-they're still of necessity passive and meek. They still run when you want them.

I'm not kidding at all, but rather seriously trying to steer you towards the traditional values and genteel folk that I think you'd be more comfortable with.
At the very least try to find a job in a less depressing part of Austin.

I'm really not attacking you personally, I just don't want you to apply a skewed perspective toward all of Texas and its women; it's neither fair nor accurate.

True....because although I like to be treated like a lady dont let that fool you...I am by no means passive or meek.

Actually I'm not in love with what you're saying but I don't think you're being mean either.
Texas has some wonderful people-we've had some unfortunate problems with the borders and politicians and so on-as far as women,I've had some bad luck, shown some bad judgement-seriously I'm trying to learn now since I'm not able to "make the dating scene" yet-what makes a good woman-traditional isn't all good really.
I AM a little bitter but I'm mostly having fun.
You're right about the job too.

She doesn't speak like a woman. Especially about woman things. And I don't mean because of the generation gap, I mean totally naive about women.

Not quite,Sugar-you're trying to get off easy-this is much more complex-I feel like a man should pretend to be an incorrigible chauvinist so he can satisfy the maternal urges of females seeking to correct the "Bad Boy"-
mommy please don't spank me!I'll try to do better!
