So, lame as I am and busy as Iv been, I just got around to seeing Crash. And indeed its one of the best, if not the best film of 2005 simply for its aesthetic qualities, story and acting.

But, obviously since im posting this in the political debate im curious as to other peoples opinions regarding its interpretation of racism in America. I thought it did a damn good job. It took it from every angle--And undoubtedly you hated just about every group at different points. White, Black, Mexican, Middle-Eastern, even of course the group you come from.

Ill voice my own opinions soon enough, but if youv seen the film post your thoughts, and if you havent seen it, go do. Damn good film, even if you dont care about the reason for this thread.

I thought it was sh*te, full of cliche's with no real story.

There was a nice use of irony in the way the stories tied in together (racist cop saves a black girl he previously abused/good cop kills and innocent black kid who is a cops brother)

Matt Dillon is alsways worth watching, he is a good actor.

Apart from that not worth the hire fee.

Not too mention the two black criminals bitching that people sterotype blacks as criminals.

Just before doing a carjack if I recall,

Not a good film, but I seem to be in the minority in that view.

I saw Crash and didn't much care for it either.
And it's not because it was a bad movie. I think I'm just tired of having to think about race relations everytime I turn on the TV.
