i've finally got all the parts I need, and as soon as my friend shows up, we're going to be heading to dreamlot (www.dreamlot.com) to throw the car up on a lift and start installing everything.
we've got: 13inch x-drilled front rotors, caster/camber plates, koni adjustable struts, racing springs (for a coil-over in the front), cobra calipers and SN95 spindles/master brake cylinder for the front, a 95 automatic rear axle (3.08 rear gears) with discs for the back, all the parking brake modifiers, new brake lines to the run to the back, 17X7 silver cobra rims, 245/45/Z tires to throw on, an optima gel cell in the engine compartment (soon to get moved to the back), and a new 8 lb pulley for the super charger.
i've got no idea how long all this **** will take to throw on, but i'll keep you guys all updated. the car is gonna look ****ing gorgeous when everything's back on. i just can't wait to drive it full time again, i miss the exhaust.

it's not done  i'm SO freaking mad!
i installed the bump steer kit, the caster/camber plates and the coil-over conversion kit, but the new spindles WILL NOT FIT! i just wrote this to the corral:

PLEASE HELP! I finally got to wrench on my car after I got all the parts to upgrade to 5 lug, discs all around...
I got the old spindles off, no problem, everything was looking good, installed the bump steer kit, caster/camber plates and coil-over conversion kit, then I went to put on the new spindle - and the holes for the bolts WILL NOT line up with the strut holes for the bolts - the SN95 spindle bolts are about a quarter inch farther apart
what's going on?! i've read TONS of on-line installation instructions for these, and NONE OF THEM mentioned anything about the bolt holes being different lengths! I even took the spindle and strut OUT, laid them on the ground and tried to fit them into each other and the spindle holes are just TOO FAR APART! Did someone sell me bad spindles? Is it not supposed to just "bolt" right in? Every set of instructions I've read just says "take the strut bolts out, take the spindle off. Put the new spindle on. Reattach the strut." So WHY won't it fit? Am I doing something wrong?
please help before I sell my car, I love it to death but i can't STAND this!
this is a 1986 mustang going to 1995 spindles (or so I was told, maybe they sold me 96 spindles or something?)

I know nothing about this...but did you try stangnet?

i will post it to stangnet in just a minute... i just finished posting a question about the coil-over kit to the corral... i'll post them both in just a second.

turns out it's the wrong STRUT... so i'll have to order some new struts, apparently in 87 they went to a different sized spindle and strut, so i need to get a strut for an SN95 and that will fix the problem...
sucks that I already bought new struts and now i have to buy MORE new struts... hopefully i can afford them :( puts a damper on getting mys tainless steel brake hoses and rear-battery kit,t hough

Yea they changed the struts for 87, but what's weird is I have a set of Lakewoods for 87-93 Mustangs and they fit my spindles perfectly.

I had a set of Koni's that I later traded to my friend who has an 89 Mustang and they bolted right in his car. You could always fix them with a drill:cool:

I'm reading with fascination, as I'm living vicariously through you. This was supposed to be my summer vacation project, only funds are looking too tight to pull it off.

I'm sure you've already visited Matt90GT's haven of 5 lug and brake information right?

http://svo73mm.cjb.net/ If you haven't, but you probably have.

Good luck and keep us posted.
