Yeah, it tells me that Bush is trying to rally support from the Jewish community for his unpopular, badly-run war with thinly-veiled appeals to what he believes are their sympathies for Israel.

Israel has succeeded because it had to. Enemies on all sides, and an ocean to their rear? Fight or drown, 'cause there's nowhere to run.

The original story claimed he said it to a minister during a session of Parliament.

It was invented by a Palestinian propaganda house in an attempt to damage US/Israeli relations.

Where is this original story since that link had nothing about the Knesset?

I found a place where he said it at the Cabinet but according to a Israel site the Cabinet and Knesset are two different organizations and in seperate buildings.
