I've been playing on the GBA a LOT at work since the students are gone and we have nothing to teach. I dug up my old Metroid Fusion cartridge and put a solid week into it. I love the 2d scroller metroid games. The thing about Metroid is that the game is so long and confusing that when you finally beat it, it's so damn satisfying. You're like, "YEAH! Who da man!"
At least that's what it's like for me.
Right now I'm on Metroid Zero Mission, which is a modern remake of the original. The funny thing is that in the original, you beat Mother Brain, and escape, and that's the end of it. NOT in this one. I beat Mother Brain, escaped to the surface, got in my ship, took off, and then got shot down by space pirates and crashed back on the surface. Now Samus is running around without her suit, with nothing but a pair of tights and a stun pistol trying to infiltrate the space pirate mothership. This is gonna be rough...
So, anyone else a Metroid fan?
