What do you usually get your pets for christmas?

We used to get a little stocking & fill it with chewy toys for the dog. Now that we have a cat instead, I guess it will be catnip filled mice.
I realize it's more for the kids to see the cat get a gift, than the cat to get the gift (what does he care what day it is?), but it's still fun

I crocheted a christmas stocking for my tiny this year. We're just going to put treats in it, and maybe get her a remote controlled cat-toy. She likes cat toys more than dog toys for some reason. It's definitely for us more than for her, she doesn't care what day it is. She is spoiled enough already that it won't even seem like anything special to her.

oooohhhh!!!! Shadow is getting SO much stuff this year!!! :D

Pretty much that's all >I< asked for Christmas this year, and last. I asked everyone to just get me stuff for Shadow.

So far I've made him 5 new cage pouches, 3 tents, a few bonding pouches, a couple tunnels, some fleece blankies, a really big hammock, and a cage cover. I've bought him several cat toys, a whole bunch of treats, and some dried fruit.

I'm in the WSGN gift exchange too, so he'll get stuff that way. My dad wants to make him a new wheel for x mas with some magnets so it doesn't squeak but I'm not sure if he's going to get around to doing that.

I think I know what it feels like to be a mom. I honestly do because this Christmas is more for Shadow t han it is for me.

Nemi got tons of stuff too, but I by far spoil Shadow more. Not because I love my other pets less, but because he's my baby and needs me the most. :)

I got stuff for every single one of my pets this year. :) I'm proud of myself. I even got some treats and a few new toys for the fish. :) <3

My cats get canned cat food as a treat.
My dog gets the largest bone I can find. This one is a little smaller. The last one was freakin' huge! I have no idea how Charlie lifted it up but 2 months later it was gone.. I swear it was almost 8" thick and as long as my arm.

<-- can't measure things.

I'm not sure what my pets religions are, so I just get them presents for winter solstice. :p

I don't think I'm gonna be able to get them anything this year, though. I'll just have to spoil them all with treats they already have. :hmm:

Do your dogs know it Christmas? We once had a Norwegian Elkhound; smart dog. He would play the "elf" (hand out the presents from the tree). You tell him, "Dad" and give him a present and he'll take it to Dad. Same with all the family. You tell him, "Max" and he'll take it to his spot, lay it down and go back to the tree to give out the next present. You'll tell him "No more" and he'll go to his presents and wait for us to start opening them and then he would dig in, biting off the wrapping, chewing open the box, and "Woof!" :) . Then he'll open the next one. He'll have about seven presents (chewbones, tennis balls to play fetch, his favorite would be Little Debbie Oatmeal cakes).

Once, he did something he never did...must have been a rabbit or something...but he went out into the highway...a log truck got him... :(

It sounds like he was such a good smart dog. I'm sorry for your loss. :( That's an adorable story though.

Sounds like Kate :mixed pride and sadness:

She loved to carry stuff around, her daily job was bringing in the mail and she often brought our shoes (not as often as she hid them though)

Poor critters:( Often it means they get less attention than usual...
I babysat my neighbours cat while she went away for 3 days (3 days without mom, that's a special time?)
And I'm usually home all day, but doing the family thing I was gone all day xmas.
I brought turkey & giblets for Domino the kitty & my ratties, but I know they were all bummed by the change of pace.
(My ratties also got banana chips and the girl ratties got a new hidey-house)

Ema, I so want to hug you. And/or be Shadow.
