There's been some pretty horrible rumors about suits at Fox ruining the script, and the new director, Brett Ratner, sucks.

I'll still go see it.

Never been one to listen to others opinions on what's good or bad.

I'm funny that way.

I'll still rent it (I don't see many movies in the theaters anymore), but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be pretty bad.

I agree. Unfortunately the franchise has been compromised and will not continue it's level of quality.

well you can't judge before you see the film

I can make a very educated guess that will most likely be right based on all the crap that went on with script-writing and re-writing and being hacked to pieces by suits that don't know comics and the hiring of a god-awful director for the third installment.

If it's good, I'll be happy to admit it as I'm a fan of both the comic books and the movies.

Too bad it's going to suck. :(

What's really funny, is that I know people that said one and/or two sucked. So really, you can't judge it based on rumours of what it MIGHT be. And what sucks to one person, might be really good to another.

For instance, has anyone seen Shaun of the Dead? That is one fantastic movie, but how's this for one review: I saw this movie about 6 months ago and couldnt beleive what sh1t it was. Its not the greatest Zombie movie in years or even close to it. If you want to see a movie like Shaun that was done right then get yourself a copy of "Undead" another Zombie comedy(sorta) movie. Undead has better gore, better story, better actors, and is just an all around better movie. It was also made in australia for those who care. Shaun of the Dead is the worst Zombie movie since House of the Dead and the worse movie since the Blair Witch. Watch it at your own risk you'll be begging for the hour and a half of your life back.

Then I'll follow it up with: I've seen just about every zombie movie ever made and this is definitely the best one. I haven't laughed so hysterically, or been so startled during a movie in years. This movie is both extremely funny and very scary. There were times when the entire theatre erupted into hysterical laughter and others when just about every person was scared to the point of being vocal, i.e. screaming or yelling. Beyond the laughs and frights the movie also had a good bit of social commentary on a number of subjects.

My point is, I really don't find anyone's opinion good except for my own regarding things like this. I just came in here to see what Kelsey Grammar looked like as the Beast. Pretty good, actually. We'll just see how the movie is when it comes out. There will be people that hate it, there will be people that love it. It's all in what you like really.

I hate critics.

Remarkable strength, Inhuman agility and balance, high endurance, and a brilliant mind. Tends to wax philosophical, but if you started nodding off he might bonk you on the head....

I know all this. I know my opinion is subjective and many people disagree with me. I've always thought that was a given and I didn't have to prefice my opinion with "my opinion is that...." My educated prediction is that it will suck. I hope I'm wrong, and if I am, I'll be the first to admit it.

I don't hate critics. :)

I never would've thought it ... but after seeing the pic, I guess Kelsey does make a good Beast.

It's amazing what a lot of blue body paint will do for someone ... just ask Rebecca Romijn-Stamos.

Then you can have them! I will never take a critics opinion of a movie as a rule to whether or not I will see it. I've watched a lot of movies that were destroyed by critics and found them to be very entertaining. There were some critics that actually hated the entire LOTR trilogy. If you look around, you can find someone that hates everything. That's not informative.

What is a classic to some people, sucks in others eyes. One thing you will NEVER find me do, is say how much something sucks, might suck, or is sucking! :D Do I really need to say this stuff? Isn't it common sense?

As a great example, in sports, back in 2004, the Carolina Panthers were picked to come in last place! Everyone thought, sure. They haven't added anyone to the roster worthy of making them even contend for their division title. Most every critic of the NFL, or sports in general, agreed that the Panthers, would "suck." Wow, 18 games later and they ended up losing one of the most exciting Super Bowls ever on a last second field goal kick. Yeah, the critics missed that one.

I saw this trailer on the big screen last night before Kong, and I think that it has real potential... the footage is awesome, and Beast looks close to perfect.

He's not going to have heightened senses in the movie?

The pre-Kong trailer almost made me mess myself with excitement. I am fairly confident that it will be good based on what I saw, not on what I heard.

Is it wrong to love movies that feature enormously epic and near-shakespearian battles for ultimate survival and the claim to the dominiom of earth?
