I met my wife on the internet. She had a pop-up banner to her adult website, and I clicked on it one day. I came for the interracial bisexual gangbang and stayed for the love. Whoda thunk it? :)

I found my first and last gf online. It was a set up though, a buddy of mine knew her and she lived about 100 miles from here. That, thankfully, did not last. I have however made outstanding friends online that I have love for :)

The Internet is a communication tool used the world over where people can come together to bitch about movies and share pornography with one another.

I met both my ex and my current boyfriend online. Im attracted more to a persons mind than anything else, so its great for me. I also think it can be extremely healthy to start relationships this way. To me, in an ideal relationship....

You are first attracted by a persons mind, on a friendship level...
You then discover the heart of them, and your heart and feelings join the equation...
By now your soul will be involved...
And your soul leads you to have physical relations with them.

Meeting on the internet ensures that this is the sequence of things, and that you havent just been fooled by looks or physicality, or thrown into the relationship by your emotions.

It also ensures that the two people are able to sustain conversation before they actually get together, which is great.

Aaron and I post at this msg board, and over ayear ago we started IM-ing on AIM, and then in May i asked him, "hey want to play hookey with me one day?" and that was that.

He was really cool, I was so impressed with how genuinely nice he was, and the next weekend he came up to NYC to see a ska show with me, and a couple weeks later i went down to DC to go for a bike ride and camping trip, and then after that we were a couple. We say we've been going out for about 6 months. :)

We were never an internet couple, I didnt even know i liked him-liked him, until i was kissing him. ;) He was just cool, and i thought he'd be fun to hang out with again.

and now i think we're made for each other. :D

Hm. I met my current boyfriend online in Final Fantasy XI... But we didn't start dating until after we'd met multiple times, it was just a great friendship with a lot of commmon interests for a while.

damn, I feel very behind the curve on this whole internet dating thing

I did go out on a date with a girl I met online once, worst date I've ever been on. Never really had a serious desire since then to explore it further, plus, there's still a lot of stigma attached to it.

Hmm, maybe this needs to change. Any single females living in Southern California? I've been on this site for 4 years now and not even close to a hook-up! Sheesh, the only person I've even given my number to was kellet so that she could call and wake me up! That settles it....

The internet has brought me a few longtime love relationships, two quite serious; at least a dozen casual sex hookups; and some lasting sexual friendships, one still going on after almost three years. There have also been several very affectionate online-only friendships that had great potential, were it not for distance or other obstacles.

I should also point out that I've met my share of frauds, psychos, predators, stalkers and girls that were just plain trouble, but such can also be encountered offline.

How many people on these boards live in SoCal, geez.
And sorry Resident, I keep my women on close lockdown... maybe I'll let one of them date you.

I met my boyfriend initially online via a car related forum. I ended meeting him in person at a car show we all travelled to in another state. I was married at the time. Initially, we didnt like each other- I was new to the internet and he is a 'computer geek' so we would get into spats over netiquet and such...and other rediculous things. Eventually, he found his way to living in SoCal and we (my husband [ex] and I) began to hang out here and there and we became friends. My exhusband and him are complete opposites and thus he became more of my friend and my husband just spoke with him regarding car related issues.

When my marriage ended he was one of the people that kept checking on me and talking/listening to me. When my husband stopped helping with the house payments- he and his best friend opted to move in with me and my kids to try to make the payments- this is when we really got to know each other- on mmore of a personal level, not sexual...this is when we really figured out that we clicked like nothing we ever imagined...

We kept stopping and saying to ourselves, "you?" No way! But, the time past , the more it felt right and it continues to get better- it's crazy, neither of us have had a relationship like this before.

Thus far, things are looking great.

I met my last boyfriend online. We had a 2 year relationship. The distance sucked. It probably kept us together longer than we should have been.

I'm not looking for anything romantic online again. Phone sex just isn't that good.
