My first ever antlered deer, after 19 years of hunting, got this handsome fellow Sat 11/26 about 9AM. 9pts on the antlers, weighed in at 166lbs.... most meat I've ever gotten from a deer, took all day Sunday to butcher w/ a buddy's help (we're both real slow and meticulous; picky about our meat :) ) .... anyways, thought I'd share.
Notch, Destroyer of Bambis.
I want to go hunting with hand grenades.
edit: Notch... Clciked "edit" instead of "quote"... did not modify your post.

Notch apparently has a bad case of jaundice...I hope the deer meat remedies this.

:) ... It may be a while for that... I need to get a dehydrator and "stuff" ... never made jerkey before .... my dad has, but I have not.

I think about $60 + $ 10 if you want it deboned.... in my case it cost about 8 hours, as I butchered it w/ a budy's help.

No, not usually but, this one I caped out back to the sholders, he's at the taxidermist now... I getting the head mounted... being my first buck and all.
oh and..nice rack!
Thanks! ... You too, sugar! :D

Thanks! ... how about a roast? (I do not cut it into steaks, you can slice a roast up into steaks but not vice-versa.... so I always process it as roasts). I've never sent any thing like that before ... if it's legal and you can tell me how to do it... Sure!!! I'll send a roast to ya big-balla!
beauty :nice:
thanks! :nice:
nice I'm jealous. I missed one last weekend :(
I haven't killed a deer in several years, but luckily, I have buds that supply me with venison
