How long do you usually date someone before taking it a step up, be it to a more committed form of dating or to the level of a relationship?

But I never went out with strangers either, I was friends first with every one of them. Ema 11-29-2005, 05:56 AM 1-2 months. Samson 11-29-2005, 10:15 AM Scratch and Sniff. I wont ask how you gather the evidence... Terrapin 11-29-2005, 11:08 AM How long do you usually date someone before taking it a step up, be it to a more committed form of dating or to the level of a relationship? I think it depends on the people in the relationship.. speaking from own experience we became pretty serious in the first month  so I voted 1-2 months Samson 11-29-2005, 11:44 AM  Scratch and sniff? Can you describe the scent you're after? I wont ask how you gather the evidence... Humans have destroyed their natural instinct for selecting compatable partners with over analysis. If we could all just agree to simplify the rules, then we'd all be a heluva lot happier. We were married two years later. It took six months because I wasn't looking for anything serious and I don't really take long term commitments lightly, marriage is scary enough. Me? I cannot really answer that question. Before I met my first wife I did not date anyone longer than 2 or 3 dates. By then they were usually sick of me.:D But then I met my "first" and it took me literally two weeks until we were engaged. After my divorce I dated my first wife's best friend who I knew for a long time. I took that relationship a lot slower. First we "hung out" with eachother, not really dating or anything. Then we dated and then after about a year we took the plunge.
