Well, oki, so far it is me, Danfan3, and you when you get yours finished at that ultimate-guitar.com contest. Knockin' on Heaven's Door is so easy structurally, I don't know why others there don't try it.

maybe because it is a really annoying song...:p

yeah..thats kinda part of it for me..the other part involves winding up with a really crappy singer in the band years ago because the other guys liked how he sang it:D i might work on it later next week...

Cool RedLine! Are you going to enter it at Ultimate-Guitar?

Unconfirmed lyrics for Roadhouse Blues...

Ah keep your eyes on the road,
Your hands upon the wheel.
Keep your eyes on the road
Your hands upon the wheel.
Yeah, we’re going to the roadhouse,
Gonna have a real good-time.

Yeah, the back of the roadhouse,
They’ve got some bungalows.
Yeah, the back of the roadhouse,
They’ve got some bungalows.

They dance for the people
Who like to go down slow.

Let it roll, baby, roll.
Let it roll, baby, roll.
Let it roll, baby, roll.
Let it roll, all night long.

Do it, Robby, do it!

You gotta roll, roll, roll,
You gotta thrill my soul, alright.
Roll, roll, roll, roll-a
Thrill my soul.

-- You gotta beep a gunk a chucha
Honk konk konk
You gotta each you puna
Each ya bop a luba
Each yall bump a kechonk
Ease sum konk
Ya, ride --

Ashen-lady
Ashen-lady
Give up your vows
Give up your vows
Save our city
Save our city
Ah, right now

Well, I woke up this morning
And I got myself a beer.
Well, I woke up this morning
And I got myself a beer.

The future’s uncertain
And the end is always near.

Let it roll, baby, roll.
Let it roll, baby, roll.
Let it roll, baby, roll.
Let it roll, all night long.

Don't take what That_Pink_Queen kid says seriously. He said some of my bends were "wrong." :p

I critiqued That_Pink_Queen's preliminary version.

Nice job oki! :nice:

The UG poll closes in a few minutes for the Knockin' On Heaven's Door combat. The guy that picked the song did not submit a version for some reason.

Thanks No_Brakes and oki. I didn't vote on it either actually. I think that is it for the UG site. Their December competition is ridiculous. There are a number of great Christmas songs that could have been covered.

Is everyone still doing this? I had a temporary issue with my Variax guitar. The ethernet output was screwed up somehow for a few days. I contacted Line 6 for solutions and they said the issue I described was either the ethernet cable, the output of the Variax or input of the PODxt. So cleaned the output of the Variax with some denatured alchohol and it works again.

Ive allrady done mine. :) do you have a version yet?

Snouter

I set up the drum track, but have not laid down anything else so far. :(

RedLine99

dude..you are so lagging:p

Snouter
02-01-2006, 02:02 PM
Still working on it. Line 6 just sent me a new Variax guitar output (for free even after warranty expired) after mine apparently went bad. It has a little circuit board and has an analog and ethernet connection. Should be easy to replace except there are 2 wire that need soldering which I am a little nervous about doing because it is somewhat intricate. They should make those connections clips in the future.

How about we do the Meat Puppets' Lake of Fire or a song by Chicago like 25 or 6 to 4, Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? or something like that?

LOL...you choose man..we just follow:D

soldiering tight spaces isn't to bad if you get a thin enough bead and heating head for your soldiering gun..i usually try to "wrap" the wire somehow so all i have to do is lay the bead on it.

hey..go sign up your stuff on tagworld..kinda a myspace thing, but it gives you reports on who (a/s/l LOL),what, etc people listened to. the sites in beta
so its kinda wacky navigating..but they don't have that dumb 4 song limit either...
