I wasn't planning on doing anything for Halloween. I am not the biggest fan of the holiday, as I've gotten older, it was a work day, and I had had an exhausting weekend. However, my sister was in massive pain and in no means to take care of herself, let alone the baby, or take him trick or treating. I ended up getting a 1/2 day at work, going out to Ventura, and helping take care of him and her and go trick or treating.
He was adorable. We dressed him up as a cow and went to the mall. He can MOOOO really well. He was horribly fascinated with his tale and he LOVES lollipops.
I had the plesure of giving a bath to a toddler for the first time. That was...interesting...to say the least...but we had fun. We listened to good music, made a giant mess of water, and he got clean. (how do I get dirty giving something a bath, I don't get it).
I stayed in Ventura too late, got home close to midnight and passed out, I had been at work at 8 to 1, drove the hour there, babysat all day and then drove home. I know how moms feel, at least for a day...but, I love him and her, so it was well worth it.
