I'm going to be going overseas soon and will possibly have time to play some games; but I certainly won't be able to bring my desktop or laptop.

I prefer turn-based strategy or role-playing games over 'action' or 'real-time click fests'.

What portable game systems would you guys/ gals suggest ? Gameboy ? Playstation Portable ? What ?

Which games do you like the most for those systems ?

I'm wanting to buy my Big Sister lil sis a gaming system and games for Christmas and I don't know what kind of system or games to get her. I'd appreciate some advise too, thanks. Oh she's 13.

Gameboy advance. The kids have these and they love them. Small enough to stick in a rucksack or even in your BDU pants. :)

you can read up on them and see what you like. I order most of the boy's games from toysrus/amazon. Sometimes you can get them really cheap there. Or just go into Walmart or your local video gamer store with your list of favs.
