Friday night of this week I went to see The Nightmare Before Christmas at the El Capitan. Its a theatre owned by Disney on Hollywood Blvd. that looks amazing on the inside and they have a cool organ and just a nice vibe to it. I went with Kasey and Mark and Tiffany were thinking about joining us, but they ended up having an alone night, it was Tiffnay's first Friday off in a long time. Kasey and I went to Mel's on Highland, which was a good time, but the food/service blew. We had a good time though, talking and catching up. The movie was awesome. I love it so much and it was fun to see it with another fan. Kas was tired, so after the movie and drive home we called it a night. I ended up staying up late talking to a friend on the phone and then watching some movies.

Saturday was ...

to be continued.

Saturday, was, in a word, awesome. I ended up driving out to my sister's place in Ventura to see my nephew and her before Renee's party. My sister, it turned out, majorly hurt her back. So it was good, I got there, I was able to babysit while my sister and bro in law went to the hospital. We went to the park, ate some food, then Ritu came over to take over so I could go to Renee's.

I was a little nervous about Renee's party. Save a few coworkers and her bf (who I had met a few times) I wouldn't know anyone. I either thrive in those situations or shrivel and die...I got there and no one was there, some drama aside, people started filling in (it was at this bar/lounge in SM called The Wilshire) and it was a good time. I talked some with her bfs friends, but then Renee's friend Barbara who I had met a few times (Nathan and I kicked down her door)

I went to TNBC at the el capitan like 3 or 4 years ago, they had a bunch of the figures they used for the filming on display downstairs, did you see that?

Mel's service ALWAYS blows, one of the worst ever for service.

Mel's on Sunset, I've had good experiences at.

Yeah, saw the display downstairs, it wasn't figures, it was drawings, concept art, and then some videos on the making of.

God, this is like the journal post that wont' ever end. I've not been writing in here, because I wanted to finish this off, but now I think I just need to binge, write a bunch, and be caught up, as opposed to 3 weeks behind...

So, Renee's friend Barbara got really drunk and was just being her overly flirty, very friendly self. It was fun, but I think her boyfriend wasn't enjoying ti very much. After things started dying down, Avidan, Ana, Angela, and I went to Temple Bar where this fun hip hop group was, and then we went to the beach to smoke. We stopped off at a 7-11 along the way, so Avidan could get some zig zags. I taught him how to buy them in Hindi. We went to the beach and just had a great time. It was cold, so much huddling and cuddling was needed. After the beach, we went to Bossa Nova, and then went and watched the sunrise. I got home at like 6 or 7AM, and was dead to the world for a long time.

That Sunday was a rest and recouperate day and then I went over to Tasha's and we sat in the spa for a long time and talked and caught up. I had not seen her since my birthday, so it was really good, we had great stories to share.

Really, Saturday was the most fun I had in a long time. I am not sure if that is a testimony to how great it was, how sad/down I've been lately, or a mix of both, but it was really the best night I had in a long time. It was a mix of good friends, good company, new peolpe, ego boosts, and just like, totally care free, no drama, no nonesense, just fun.
