it has some demo's on it and one is playable. Can't remember what it was, Call of Duty I think. Pretty impressive.

THey just got it today. It only had the wired controllers, but they were great... very lightweight. The extra buttons on the tops were cool too.

Awesome machine. They only had it on a 20ish inch LCD, but the graphics were very bright and crisp.

The doofus working there was talking to me about it and said that it was awesome and all, but that PS3 would be better. I said "really? You've played a PS3 and compared them so that you KNOW it'll be better? Looks like there's an Xbox right here that's playable... where's the PS3 to try out so I can come up with such a conclusion" :D Didn't have much to say after that. He didn't even know anything about the 360. I don't know how he can say it's better then something that's not even out...especially when he knows nothing about a product that he's supposed to sell :D:D

/me wants one

Manu, go check it out!

i saw one yesterday in my local BB, wasnt lucky enough to have call of duty on in though, it had some other game with a Ninja looking chick that could turn into things.... I played it for a few mins, and while the graphics were good, and a noticable improvement over the Xbox, they were not spectacular. I have seen better in some of the 3Dmark demos for the PC. the edges were very jagged and some of the textures were blurry. Could have just been the game, but It was not what i was expecting to see.

Saw an X360 at the local EB, I saw some guy playing King Kong, and then Medal of Honor. Then I said... "feh... that's it."

I'll wait for PS3, cause X360 is going to be a flaming pile of donkey crap, compared to that thing.

I'm holding out to see how the xbox live games are before I decide about xbox 360. Anybody know how many games will be available when the console launches?
However, I tend to like xbox more than sony anyway. Though, that isn't to say that either gaming system is perfect.

There are three critical performance aspects of a console:

Central Processing Unit (CPU) performance.
- The Xbox 360 CPU architecture has three times the general purpose processing power of the Cell.

Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) performance
- The Xbox 360 GPU design is more flexible and it has more processing power than the PS3 GPU.

Memory System Bandwidth
- The memory system bandwidth in Xbox 360 exceeds the PS3’s by five times.

The Bottom Line
When you break down the numbers, Xbox 360 has provably more performance than PS3. The truth is that both systems pack a lot of power for high definition games and entertainment.

However, hardware performance, while important, is only a third of the puzzle. Xbox 360 is a fusion of hardware, software and services. Without the software and services to power it, even the most powerful hardware becomes inconsequential. Xbox 360 games—by leveraging cutting-edge hardware, software, and services—will outperform the PlayStation 3.

How about we compare both systems when the final product comes out? Companies have funny ways of overstating features when they are just in the process of making the game system. When boths product are first released, that is when the public will do a real comaprison.

my PC can still outperform both of 'em. of course, it cost about three times as much...

that's a money PC you got then Feenix!

mike75, i couldnt agree more. People can speculate till their brains bleed, but until we have the units side by side anybody super-supportive of one or the other clearly isnt being objective....

still im trying my butt of to win a 360 through some contests online. Im entering the golden disc sweepstakes at GameFly like my life depends on it....

um, the thing is totally cool. it's built like a cpu (see above) and the games are awesome. I've only demo'd the 360 ( a buddy has one) and supposedly there wont be anymore until after christmas.

back to the gamefly site I go....by the way, if anyone here has a 360 you should check out gamefly's prices on games. They're ridiculously cheap for being played once or twice.....

I've played the 360, it's pretty good. The visualization program it has for music is one of the best I've seen in a while.

I was told that one of the main creators of final fantasy games (most namely, FFVII) has decided to work on a new RPG that he is CLAIMING is going to be better than FFVII. I'm hoping this becomes something drool-worthy, and it's going to be exclusively on 360. It makes me at least want to have a close friend that has one. But other than that I'm waiting for the PS3.

Yeah, I played the new Tony Hawk game, Wasteland or something. Was a lot of fun, got to grind off of some Jeep Commanders and Liberties which I thought was kinda amusing.

I'm thinking about getting it, but I spend so much time playing World of Warcraft that I just don't know if it'd be worth it.
