This was part 2, of what has been a 3 part lift me up. It started Friday night with hanging out with Kasey. We just got together, sat around, talked, caught up. It was really good, it started the weekend off with some purpose.

I woke up early Saturday morning for the begining of the voyage to Vegas. Avi rented a car (smartly as it was a car or 4 grown men on the way to Vegas in a mustang). We got a Chevy HHR. I called it either a PT cruiser on steroids or a mini mini van. Either way, they are the same thing.

He picked me up around 9:30, as soon as paperwork and car getting was done and we were on our way. We picked up Nate and Cody, and without much fanfare were on our way to Victorville for a rendevous with Willie, Brianna, and Baby Jack. We ended up missing their exit, needing to backtrack about 10 miles, and were running low on gas. Tensions were running a tad high, as Nate/Cody seemed to be in an exceptional hurry to get to Vegas and were worrying about the gas situation a lot. We made it. Got gas, got off the freeway. Thanks for a quick reminder from nate to flip directions, we were on our way...in heinous traffic.

Willie and Brianna's place is NICE. Its like a real house and they are a real family. Wild, huh? Its a 4 bedroom house, with a yard and balconies. Wild. We just got a quick meal at Jack in the Box. To my dismay, I found out I can't be Jack's godfather. You need to be baptized. Then, if you're not catholic, you can take a class. But, I am heathen, they have no classes to civilize me. There go my dreams of taking a class with an Indian accent. I wonder outloud if they check to see if I have been baptized, but somehow, lying to God, even if not my own, seems wrong. We finished up our meal, got on the road, and they taught me craps.

Craps is a daunting game. There are lots of numbers. There are lots of odds. There are lots of bets. Nate taught me well, he kept it simple and slowly built on it. The game sounds complicated and daunting, but I just observed for 20-30 minutes and then I was able to jump in. The dealers help you out too, especially as you get drunker.

We arrived in vegas later than we wanted. Cody and Nate went to check in, Avi and I went to drink. We sat down at the bar, got some drinks, were mindlessly hitting buttons on video poker, when I made a realization, there was 70 dollars in this machine. A moral debate began, and the foundation for my newfound karmic balance was born. We could take the money, give it to the bartender/casino, leave it. I talked it over with Avi. He was concerned with Karma. I started to worry. I called Nate, imploring him I had a moral debate and to hurry to the bar. He questioned how we could be in Vegas for 20 minutes and already have a moral debate, I am sure he thought it was going to be a long weekend.

The plot we devised was as such. We'd been there 30 minutes. Whoever's it was, wasn't coming back. We'd wait another 10-15 to be sure. If we gave the money to the bartender, the casino wins. If we left it, the next person to sit down took it. The only solution was to take it. We'd give it to the group, thereby splitting any negative Karma 4 ways. We'd then gamble the money, at the casino we were at, to ensure the casino still got the money back. (re: we broke the last rule and lost it all)

We went to the room, changed, unpacked, prepartied some, then went out for a quick dinner and then gambling. We hit up a few spots, until we settled in at O'Shea's. My first roll, I hit it big, with a decent run. We ended there when they moved the table limit from 5 to 10. We hit up the hotel, drank more, and then went to Excal's tables and nate, cody, avi had good rolls. I was up 200 on the trip after that night, it could only go downhill from here...

We woke the next morning to find our feast. Most people are interested in all you can eat brunch buffets and all you can drink champagne. We found our treasure, all you can eat mexican food with all you can drink Margaritas. The food was so so and the drinks eh, but damn, I must have had a picture of them. Avi and I were very well trashed, it was amazing.

We relaxed and lounged in the aftenroon. I took a nap, then everyone else joined. Sunday night was a lot of fun. We ended up gambling until like 3 AM. We found a good infomerical for a car dealer the night before. CHOP IT. Step ON the gas. (thats more for my memory than your enjoyment) My fortunes had turned, unfortunately. I made back most of what I lost, but I was only up like 100 on the trip now. But, I had a blast doing it, got a sweet pair of sunglasses, and had lots of beverages. WHen we went to dinner at like 1AM, I was not able to walk in much of a straight line.

Sleep was welcomed.

We checked out, gambled a little, and I lost another 100 bucks. Not bad, I had a weekend with my friends, and it cost me like 75 bucks. I'll live with that, any day of the week. We hit up the shops at Caesar's palace, so Avi could get some stuff for his woman, and then we drove home. We left in more of a hurry than I thought we would. I wanted to stay and chill more, go back after traffic, but Nate and Cody were in a rush to get home. Avi and I had a fun drive back, we talked and caught up a lot. I need to make a better effort to talk to him more.

I got home around 7 on Monday, I just relaxed, and prepared for work the next day.

But, God, I can't even tell you how great that vacation was. I just needed some time with the boys and some time to relax, not worry about work, and drink/party more. I need to head back to Vegas again, with some more party people, I'd like to go out more than we did, but overall, it was good times.

Like my last weekend, this had its moments. The three guys I was with are all in serious relationships. So, they'd sneak off to talk to their loves. Its tough, not having someone. Especially when its not anyone, but someone, it was/is hard, just not having her. It also highlighted how peolpe have somoene 'more important' in their life. I got down for a bit about it. I mean, I am not anyone's 'most important person' and I dont' have a 'most important person' and thats tough and weird. But, again, I had an amazing time, and I just was really happy and relaxed, almost all weekend.

I forgot one of the best parts of the trip. At like 12AM, when we're drunk off our asses, Avi calls the concierge, asking "I have a gentleman here who needs to get baptised, so you know where we could do that? " they gave us the number for the CHURCH OF THE HOLY REDEEMER. Which (thankfully?) was closed. No baptism then, another disaster adverted. That'd be wrong on so many levels, to my God, (if I had one) to the christians, to my parents, it'd just be a bad scene. Avi then tried to convince me that family is more important than everything, even religion, and willie was family. While it was very sound logic, I had to simply agree to disagree.

That's awesome, Man. :nice:

I rolled in on Friday - was at Circus Circus and did all of the shows. It was so fun. We didn't want to leave, and plan on going back so we can do more of the gambling thing.
