((I have pictures, but like 5, from my birthday party, I need a new digital camera))

Well, this was the begining of what has been a pretty damn great 3 week(ends). My birthday was on a Friday and things just went very well. Coworkers got me awesome gifts (a TV mount and an itrip) and took me out to lunch. We went to Grub, and the ladies who own it, upon finding out with was my birthday, brought up an amazing amount of free dessert and comped my meal. It was a great time.

I went home at a decent time, picked up Mark, met Scott, and Tess was already at my house. We got ready and hit up dinner at Anna's. Ira came down from Stanford. can you believe that? I couldn't. I was a bit worried, with people, how many would show, would their be awkwardness, etc, but once I knew Ira was coming, I didn't really care. The gesture meant so much and having one of my best friends there was important to me, it was awesome. Anna's was a lot of fun and good food. We were running late though. I rented out a back room at this spot called Tangier. It was really nice, really chill, cool atmosphere spot. The drinks were over priced, but it was a good time. A lot more people than I thought showed up. All in all, maybe 25-30 people rolled through the night. My friens kept me well lubricated, my hand was never empty. People came from far and wide, didn't let me pay for a thing, and just showed lots of love. I really did feel loved and special, it was amazing. I just realized how important I am to some people and it was great. So, aside from the good time, I also just felt a lot of love.

We got home at like 3, hit up some donuts and people slowly feathered out. I went and sat on my roof and just looked at the sky and thought about life. I pretended to be deep and philosophical. I ended up finally going to bed after a trip from Cheryl at like 5 AM.

Saturday I woke up at a decent hour and then Ira and I went out. We got some CDs at Ameoba, got drinks at Philly West and sandwhiches, and he went on his way. At night, Brea and Sandra took me out. Brea's friend Brian came out too. We had a blast. I hadn't had that much fun in so long. We went to dinner at this good indian joint called Akhbar's and then temple bar. There was this AMAZING reggae band ther and we just had many drinks and danced and hung out. It was jsut a ridiculous amount of fun. Agian, like antyhing, I was worried how it would be. I am good friends with Brea, know Sandra, met Brian once, but ultimately, I am not close to any of them. How was the night going to be? One of the best of my recent memory. We got home from the bar after close, smoked some and hung out, and then hung out some more. We just had a ridiculously good time and a massive case of the giggles.

I got a fish, Bella. I had asked Brea for 'something beautiful.' She is gorgeous. An animal is an interesting present, because it is responsability. I can't take care of myself, can I take care of a fish? Lets hope so.

The Sunday after my birthday I went home and had lunch with my sister. I saw Ira off and said bye to him before he drove back to Standford. I think I did something Sunday night too, but I really dont' remember what it was now. But, it was great.

All in all, that was a weekend that really made me feel a bit better about where I was and life. I had friends who loved me and cared for me an amazing amount, I had a ridiculous amount of fun, and things just seemed 'alright.'

There were low points in this weekend. I got in a fight/argument/disagreement with a friend. Its actually still not really been resolved, though I cannot say it is at a lack of attempts to talk about it. There was some awkwardness with another friend, but I was just incredibly happy to see her, it was all good. It reminded me, how many great people I have in my life, but also that they are not ALWAYS in my life. I am used to people being 'always around.' Between living with close friends, spending a lot of time together with others, or being with someone, I have been so used to have the 2-3 people im ridiculously close with and talking to them on very regular basis. Well, thats not life anymore. I need to get used to that.

Overall, great weekend.

I'd just like to add that the plate of ravioli that I got lasted exactly as long as I told you it would at Anna's.

That place makes some damn good ravioli. :)

Good times, man. Thanks for inviting me. :)
